Oh CC, that's rotten luck and I bet you are more upset than Chance.   I remember taking my grand-dog Chucky to the vet when he had a grass seed in his ear - I cried as much as Chucky did  :-))  I hope Chance is a big brave boy whilst he is being stitched up.

Wow, Amy's on again and I've got posts to read - was just about to close down for a while to let them slowly build up again tonight .    Evening Amy.

Evening lovelies. ;D Nice to hear from you Amy ;D
Update girls on Chance. He was very brave and has had two staples inserted to close the wound. :-X They come out in ten days. The vet suggested we deter him from licking the wound ( Spaniels are notorious for licking :-)) ) by dressing him in a old T-shirt.He's not very impressed wearing it :D :D :D I decline the "lampshade" route. :P

Poor Chance.  What an ordeal for you both.
I can just imagine him wearing the t-shirt.  I hope he has a fast recovery.

Nice to see you Amy  :D

Hello all, so sorry to hear about chance CC. My old lab had a terrible accident with barbed wire, almost severed his manhood. He was very ill and the pain was terrible. However he recovered and later on fathered some puppies! We had to use a lampshade. Good luck with the tee shirt. It was so many years ago too but your post brought back memories.
Current puppy would rip off a tee shirt......
