Good morning lovelies in Oz.
Might I also add that everyone takes care if near those ferocious fires in Australia.

Morning all.
DJ,  hard one.  Is there a 'body' that specialists in B and B .?   Trip advisor is good,  we use it and I have written for them.    They give the management / owner the opportunity to respond to a negative complaint.   Years ago we used a book by  Alistair Sawday for B and B 's in England.  Everyone was special and exactly as described.  The next time we stayed at a B and B because of a feature in a magazine. Hope this helps and you have a better day today.

Ditto what chookie said. You can disregard what most Americans say on Trip Advisor as if it ain't a Hilton and there are no hamburgers on the menu it ain't much good ya know.

Am still awake. We'd like to get into sawdays, but need to look at costs.

Definitely going with http://www.visitbritain.com/en/Accommodation/Green-tourism/Green-tourism-and-accreditation-scheme.htm

Expect it will take two years to build up business.

DJ I use mainly trip adviser, we are thinking about visiting the UK new year for a couple of month, and staying with friends and B & Bs. Will have to put yours on our list. What part of the UK are you in?
Just a few things to organize before we make our final decision.
Hate those flys Gert, they sure do sting.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

Ouch Gert, I had an ankle turn into a balloon after being bitten by one of those horrid things.

DJ I am of no help, sorry. I've only been to NZ and Singapore and each time the hotels were chosen for me. Once in NZ we used caravan parks.
