Good morning everyone (just!), beautiful day here in Adelaide.  Nice to hear from you MF, been wondering how you are going but knew you'd be back when you had the time.  Frozzie is another who has not been on lately, hope all is well there.

Hopefully our heat doesn't meander over to you Judy. They say it has come from QLD ( thanks !) and hit northern WA first and is coming down the coast. Some places on the mid west coast have been having 48 plus the last few days. We have been forecast 44 tomorrow and 39 on Sunday. Guess who has a Model A run on Sunday?   8) 8)

thats actually very good advice Gretch. Cookie, wouldn't you rather stay home and do housework ( ;) sit near the air conditioner) ? or do you think you'll be able to cope with the heat and have fun?

Cookie you always used to send your weather over to SA but it hasn't been the case so much these days.  That is about to change though and from Tuesday onwards we have 5 days over 40 and even then, they don't know if there is a cool change to follow.  Not something I am looking forward to.

I'm not looking forward to next weeks weather either. My kids started Vacswim at the beach on Monday- it was so cold that I wore jeans and a jumper and the kds didn't get in the water. It finishes on tues and it will be 42C. One extreme to another!
It was beautiful at the beach today ( 35C) and yesterday. The water was cool to start with, but then lovely.

Don't fancy your high SA temperatures Judy.No wonder all the Oz forum members are expert at making ice cream, it must keep you all cool in that heat :D

The old car isn't too bad in the heat, although it hasn't been out in over 40 degree heat. It gets very hot inside even without windows. We're going to a shady spot one sand dune from the beach.
We will have several litres of water Gert, for the car and I to share.

Most people here buy ice cream Judy.I'm always intrigued what ice cream recipes everyone makes.I loved tasting all those different ice creams at Chookie's.The only one I didn't like was the diet one. :P Seemed so bland after the others. :D
