Morning all.  Michele,  have a great day at work.  They are lucky to have you looking after them.
CC ,  I think we are having a mini drought.
Farmers Market today.  Taking waffles for swap.  Bit hot to make scones.

Good morning friends.

Chookie when do you do your swapping of goodies with the stall holders, before the official opening time or during the hustle and bustle of their normal opening hours?

Judy,  at the Farmers Market the swap stall is a community project.  We all deposit our goodies on a table before 10.00am.  2 or 3 regular organizers see that goodies are displayed nicely.  At 10 people return and take what they want.  No one is greedy.  There is usually enough for all.  People are most generous with what they bring.  I mostly take home  fruit and veggies,  in exchange for cooked goods. Today I took 7 bags, ( must be paper,  no plastic), of waffles, some sour dough starter and some Cherry sauce.    They went pretty much straight away.  One family with 3 littlies  took some waffles and I told the mum she could reheat them in the toaster,  but she said the kids would eat them before they got home.
Today I collected,  2 apples, 1 large Zucchini, 2 patty pan squashes, 1 bunch of rhubarb, some garlic, lettuce seeds and a very large Bunch of basil. Also a Manna Gum tree in a pot.
I seem to be the 'recruiter'. When people stand and look with interest at the stall I ask them if they are local and are they wondering what is going on. I explain that if the have an excess of fruit or veggies or flowers or jams or other preserves they can donate to the stall and then in turn take something they would like,  in return.  They always ask the same question.  How much should I bring and who decides how much and what I take.  There is no answer to these questions.
Sorry for being so long winded,  but like the Forum ,  it is built on good will so thought you might be interested.

Plus your hand towels which hang on the oven door, limoncello and the list could go on Uni.  This sort of thing would be right up your alley.

It sounds good Chookie and you're just the right person to stand there and guide people through the process.

Fantastic, Chookie. I would love to participate in something like that. I could have bought in kilos of tomatoes this season - best crop I've ever had.  :D
