I have to admit, I would rather be doing just about anything else but cleaning ovens at that hour of the morning, Uni, but, WOW ... what a difference.  What did you use?

Morning all.  Uni thanks for the cleaning tip. Yours looks great.
We are having issues with power.  Electrician was to come yesterday but didn't turn up.  The fridge in pantry no longer working.  Water pump not working.  Can use another source for water.  Would like a new fridge but will have to fit the space of old one.  Blast!!!

Thanks, Uni, that is the method I have noted down and have been meaning to use for a couple of weeks.  Now that I have seen yours it gives me inspiration to try it on my icky mucky oven!

Chookie, hoping you can get electrical problems sorted.  We had a similar problem trying to get a fridge to fit in the space we had when our old one died.  Good luck

I'm a great believer in ammonia for cleaning, just bought myself another bottle yesterday.  My oven doesn't get that bad as most  meat is cooked outside in the weber and now I have the a/f the oven rarely gets used as I do very little baking these days.  It's cheap, very smelly but it works.  I do remember reading this method of cleaning the oven years ago but have never used it, must keep it in mind if I need it and perhaps I could use this method on the weber too. Thanks Uni, your oven looks great.
