Dear friends,
I haven't been on much lately - the better weather, longer days and lambing and gardening etc mean I am not in the house much or on the iPad. We also are coming to terms with the fact that DH's cancer has metastasised, and we are still awaiting an appt with a very special specialist.
I will pop on now and then and I think of you all and I am always pleased to catch up with your news and see what everyone is cooking.
I have also lost my cooking mojo completely, but it expect that will come back when I am less tired.  We eat a lot of salads and that comes easy. Best wishes to all.
DJ x
Ps I found a delicious cornbread at a local bakers which is 50% each strong white flour and corn. I think it might be polenta as they are granules, so maybe the breadsperts on here can work on a version. Will try to post a pic tomorrow.

DJ, best wishes for DH and you.  Hang in there.  We discovered recently that there are some very special Doctors out there.
Morning all. Yesterday we had very heavy mist all day, or maybe it was light rain!!!
Microwave had to be replaced. 25 years old. New one $170, with bonus gift of $70 worth of Tupperware. Still smiling.

It's been a long journey but there are still more roads to travel DJ. My advice is to do what you have to do and do only what you want to do, make each other a priority and hang in there as you have throughout this whole sad time.  Fingers crossed for this specialist to have something up his sleeve which will help DH.  Sending love and best wishes to you both, it is not an easy time for either of you.

Sending hugs to you, DJ. Feel so sad reading your news. Hope that you get your appointment soon. Having all the info is a tad better than not knowing the extent of the problem. Thinking of you and your DH xx
