I'm sure it will be a work of art CC. You will have to show us Louis fast asleep in it

It's raining here at the moment as well Denise.  I love how your DH can put his hand to anything - is he going to paint it red or orange ;D

Is he like my DH CC? If he uses wood he hates to paint it. He likes to highlight the wood.

Morning all.  Early here.  Have been listening to the rain on the roof.
CC,  Louis will just love his special bed.  It will be extra special as he will know that Grandpa made it for him.

Hope you have a nice weekend in Adelaide Julie.
We are off to Margaret river on Thursday for the long weekend. DH having his birthday there on Friday and friends joining us at a winery for birthday lunch on Saturday.
Hope your weather improves. Not great here either. Chilly but dry.

Hello all
Sunny today, and cloudy but no rain for once! We needed this after four soaking days!
Nice time with good friends who kindly came to take our minds off things. They'd seen the house before the work, and were well impressed, that was cheering. We had a good walk in the sunshine amongst the cider orchards along footpaths, a good lunch here with blackberry and apple crumble ( fruit grown here and frozen) and lots of chat.
Just put some free books on my kindle, and charging it as  I finally found the charging lead..... !
We have more friends coming for supper on Friday so I must sort out this house into better order. We'd like to use the dining room by then. If you could see it you'd realise what a big task it is. But we have put some pictures up and it is looking more like home. It is strange having things around that I haven't seen for almost two years.
The hospice shop pile gets bigger every day, and DH says it's not big enough!!! Cheeky so and so!

You must be enjoying seeing it all come together now DJ and your friends would surely have seen a bit of a difference since their last visit.  I bet the accolades flowed thick and fast.   I've never heard an apple orchard called a cider orchard, are they special apples for making cider perhaps?
