TAFE is great Judy. You can go for lunch with 3 courses for around $20 and the hair and beauty is fantastic. I get the emails asking for my patronage and sometimes I go I. For a brow wax and eyelashes for about $10.  Not salubrious but beautifully done massages and facials as well for really cheap.

One of Geoff's care workers really wants to be a chef and is doing it all through Tafe. He's just spent 2 weeks of his holidays doing just that and has to do a 4 week stint further down the track.  I'd love to go along when he's there Gert.  He's decided to follow his dream and do what he wants and not what other people want him to do which is to become an RN.

Gert, I should drive the hour and go to JCU. :)

One of my front teeth has had a filling broken, 3 times now in a row. it cost so much even with Bupa cover.

Anyway, 3 years ago I had alot of work done at once, a crown, and fillings all at once. costs me alot of $$$$$$

One filling lasted 2 days, and then they charged me full price to do again, and it fell out again after another 2 days. I wasn't paying again to fix it.

So this time I explained that you have to warrant your work, for more than 2 days, at your cost,. I explained that we could play fair, and from now on, every call out to fix a  sprinkler would be charge out for 1 hour. every time dirt was in the irrigation system, and needed reprogrming  we would charge a call out fee aswell.  no more free advice, our time was as important as theirs.  it worked, last 2 visits free. ;)
My Thermomix,  Kitchen Aid, Pizza oven, Nu Wave 5 in 1, Spatulas, all brings love, laughter, happiness, and great food  to my kitchen.

Melb has a similar service to the one Gert posted.  DD is a Dentist and specialises In scared woman and children.  People travel from all around the state to see her.  She has recently developed a method of filling teeth for people who grind their teeth.  This stops them from cracking the shell that holds the filling. Although this takes a bit longer to  do, she doesn't charge any more.  Many dentists are like her,  but there are also many rip off ones.

Morning all.  5 o here at the moment.

Hello all.... Chookie guess what I unpacked today from the store????  Your sour dough pack... Am so excited, and so pleased it is not lost.
Looking forward to using, but not sure when.
We could be called to hospital any time now for DH. Expecting July but will take a cancellation. Any more details will be by PM.

Young came home tonight until Sunday, and have rolled sleeves up. DD is relief shepherd, and will help put stuff away for next three days. DS on attic duty. They made this plan to come and help get the house finished and into a home for us and am so chuffed.

DJ, what great news that the children have returned to help you out - 2 extra pairs of hands will make all the difference.  I can imagine how happy you are about that and I hope that early call comes from the hospital too.  Good luck to you both.

DJ,  I think the SD ,  if it is the dehydrated one,  will be too stale to use.  Sorry.

Good on home. Hopefully he may  take his skills and combined with his nursing experience make a difference in the nursing home kitchens in the future.

Oh Gert, I am so jealous. Darren Lehmann and Alan Border. What is Lehmann doing in Queensland,

DJ I do hope DH gets the call before July. It is so lovely that the children/adults have come home to 'settle' you in. Hugs to you all.
