Very happy as DH and DS are home from Brazil  ;D

And in one piece?

Yes both in one piece although both in a larger piece than when they left !!!
Only negative was that DH was pick pocketed at Christ the Redeemer.

Feeling much better thanks Marie about 75% there. Just have to be careful as I forget and am only reminded when I lift something heavy and feel a searing burning pain.

Would love to come  to FNQ again Robyn. We tried  for this month actually but unfortunately for us our friends whom we swap our holiday homes with have rented out their villa in Port Douglas on a long term lease as they are going to Spain tomorrow for 12 months. :(
Maybe next year as they 'owe' us two holidays  ;D

MF - glad your DH and DS are back safe and sound - hope DH didn't lose much to the pickpocket  :( My DD had almost the same experience in Spain but caught on just in time . . . a young girl who backed off very quickly and disappeared :o :(

Glad, too, you're feeling a little better . .  but DO stay away from heavy objects!!  Has anyone been able to suggest if and when things can return to normal for you?  Being limited by pain like that is frustrating to the nth degree!

He lost AU$350 GF and a debit card. He was wearing long shorts with zipped pockets on the shins of the legs. How they managed to open the zip there i will never know. The area was very crowded and 3 others in the Aussie group were pick pocketed as were some Italians and French that were on the tour with the Aussie guys. It could have been a lot worse but never the less very disappointing. DS had another debit card for DH's account so no dramas there.
They say around 9 months for my arm to heal properly depending on me not being stupid enough to lift heavy cast iron pots out of the oven!!
It's so easy to forget when the pain has eased off. Thanks for asking  :)

Wow! they certainly know how to work a crowd don't they- just incredible the level of skill they can work up to!  Yes, very disappointing but so glad it was nothing worse.

Good to hear that the damage to your arm won't be permanent!! 9 months sounds a long time but it will zip past - no more cast iron pots for you . . at least not for the next 9  months or so!! ;)

That's a long time MF, it must be so hard to do what you used to do.  I hope the time flies for you and you can manage to be good with it. :-* :-*

Love it Michele must show DH.  ;D

Thanks Trudy. Looking on the bright side it could have been a lot worse and hopefully it was someone who really needed money for food that stole his wallet.
Certainly trying to take things easy with my arms and most of the time pain free which is great.
Glad you enjoyed your trip  ;)

Good news that your arms are on the mend MF. Nasty re the pick pocketing. My neighbour lost his wallet, passport etc in Europe. Three girls bumped into him, while two apologised and carried on the third took everything. I'm pretty sure it was in Germany. He had to have the police report translated when he got home and it had to be done by a registered translater. It cost him several hundred dollars.
