Morning everyone :) sun shining here at the moment, we had some heavy rain and wind last night.
Back to the specialist with DS16 (17 friday) as he has a crushed vertebra and scoliosis and they are not sure what to do about it and discussing it with other doctors this morning. I'm a bit worried about it now as I thought it would be simple physio to help straighten his back. :(

The thing is we have no idea how it happened either, the doctors said usually a squashed vertebra is caused by some kind of accident. The only thing I can think of is when he was about 8 or 9 he fell off the back of a 4 wheel motor bike at slow speed towing a trailer and the trailer ran over him. Was only a small trailer and he was un injured as far as we know. It's a mystery.

Morning all.
Lots of rain last night.
CC,  lovely sun rise, wish I was up that early.
Dede,  hope you get some answers today.
We were going to Elmore Field Day today but now going Thursday.  We don't want to walk through all the mud from the rain last night.   Mostly for farmers. Farmers fly in from all around southern Australia. There is to be a TMX 5 demo.

morning all
beautiful sunny day here...now! Had the best thunderstorm last night, so loud and bright  :D :D
Amazingly it only woke us & miss 15.5mths, the other 3 slept through it!  :o :o

Dede, my nephew has just had to get a brace for his scoliosis, he hates it ATM but I'm sure  once he is used to it he will prefer to have it on (Hoping so, anyway)  :)
hope they sort out what can be done for your DS.
:D

Good luck with this today Mandi, my daughter also has scoliosis, as a young girl the GP said nothing we can do. She suffered from back pain and after seeing lots who didn't help much, we have a young chiropractor who has been working on her for over 12 months. Lots of dollars as it was 3 times a week and only recently 2 times a week. She had follow up X-rays and you can see her curves are straightening. She feels much better and even her posture is improved. I know she can feel the benefit as she drives 35 minutes either way for her appointments and never misses.
I feel thankful we have found someone who can help her  although I was sceptical of chiros and wouldn't trust all.

Have a great day everyone. We leave tomorrow morning so DH and I are doing our usual wish we didn't book. He hasn't finished reports etc so busy day.

Seen specialist today and they have booked a CT scan, X-ray, MRI and blood tests. At this stage they are puzzled to why he has a complete collapse of his vertebra. He said that he will most likely need surgery once he stops growing. Because of his age they said a brace would be no good. All tests booked for next week except the MRI which could be 8 weeks away. Then back to the dr after that.

I too have a wonderful young Chiropractor, I was told my neck was arthritic and I'd just have to suffer the pain with tablets, he has worked wonders and showed me in the ex rays how two vertebra were so far out of alignment my ,neck was constantly forward , it has taken a lot of visits just slow adjustments no bone crunching,  but now I have nearly full movement and no pain, no headaches , my niece has scoliosis and her Chiro has straightened her up as well , maybe if you can find a good one up,with the latest techniques it would be worth a visit to see what they can do Mandi.
