It is a mad day for most Katie but you're always organised so I'm sure there is nothing much for you to do anyway.  Richard will need a supervisor so that's your job for a while longer yet ;)

Smell in my kitchen is wonderful, cooking Nico's Tortilla Espanola at the request of GD for brunch at their place tomorrow.

Smart Katie. Take it easy.

As some of you may know I don't. "Do" Christmas nor have  ever done the Christmas Caper but on the spur of the moment decided to do something festive and having no idea of course, looked here to find Thermomixers Beet Salad. Delish and festive colour.

Then what to do as something different and festive  found cookie's Panettone. If it turns out I will post a pic. Didn't have all the ingredients but Gert the Grinch knows how to wing it. LOL!

While to dough is getting it's first rise I am having a lovely cup of tea in my new double walled Tea2 glass.

Goodness Gert, you have been busy and in the festive mood. Hope you're not coming down with anything other than Christmas merriment.  :D

I don't know what has come over me!

My panettone is very brown on top but not sure if it is well cooked. Take a photo when it is coolish.

Probably should have let it cool in the pot.

Gert, it's lovely to see you getting into the Christmas spirit.  Bet you're feeling chuffed with your efforts and DH is wondering what in blazes is going on LOL.

Get those jobs done quickly Denise, you know Louis will want you to play with him when he arrives.

That is it for me. Tomorrow I throw the Terducken on the BBq and head for the pool with a bottle of sparkling Shiraz. Or maybe Puddleduck or maybe both or maybe not.

Panetonne looks great Gert.... With custard that's a new one.
PS: Leftovers make fantastic bread and butter pudding.  ;D

Have fun with GS CC! That's what Christmas is all about. I was playing games with nephew after supper last night.

Good morning everyone on this lovely Christmas morning.  A nice cool day here, perfect for me as I don't like really hot Christmas Days.
Those with children, I hope they haven't woken you too early this morning  ;D  Enjoy your day everyone.
