Good morning everyone :)

Ouch Cuilidh that's a very big fine.

Not going away for Easter as such.  We are going out to look after DS's house and animals while they go to WA for a couple of weeks.

Good morning everyone, a  burst of summer has come back to Adelaide with 31 expected today.

Marina, I would have had a shock if I'd received that fine too, OMG what did DH say?

Ouch Marina. Any way you could explain that you were on a personal errand and pay a personal fine?
That is exorbitant.
We're not going away for Easter. Since we retired we try to stay off the road at Easter. All those that are please drive safely. There have been some horrific accidents here in the last few days.
Margaret I hope your son and family enjoy their trip over here. If they need any help with anything I am happy to PM you my details.

Thanks for your sympathy everyone.  Our theory is that they put a premium on companies so that the companies will force the individual driver to accept responsibility, therefore the demerit points.

DH was also shocked by the fine, but once we figured out why the fine was so high it didn't seem so bad.  By my writing in and taking the rap we expect the fine to be much, much less than $2,952.00 ... at least, we are hoping that is the case, anyway.  If not, that sort of fine is certainly a wonderful way of collecting revenue for our state government.

Thank you for the offer Cookie but DIL has family in Perth where they will stay for a couple of days and then they are taking a cruise up the coast to Broome with sight seeing trips in between.   Sounds like more fun than looking after the dog and chooks :D :D

The font looks nice but Times New Roman would be a good font for people to be able to read.

I think I would have some sort of attack with a fine like that; its so easy to skip through on the last bit of the orange light.

Another beautiful morning here.  This is what confronted us on our morning walk today.  DH was with me today and took this snap with his phone.
I could never give up doing this each day, I just love it.  Even in the dead of winter.  ;D

Morning all.
Happy safe Easter everyone.
Warm with North wind today.
The GC are enjoying country life.  They love the new chooks and have named them after characters in Star Wars. Girls of course.
We made Marshmellows that didn't set.  Fried rice and sate chicken and Apricot Fluff. Pikelets for morning tea.

Good morning everyone.  Gorgeous sunrise Julie, I do like them but rarely see one  ;D

I'm off to Melbourne for Easter, DD1 called me yesterday with an invitation to go over with her MIL so with DH's blessing, I'm taking her up on it.  Yikes, I've never had such short notice for a holiday so plenty to do before I leave tomorrow afternoon. We'll be spending most of the time at their Ballarat weekender as they like to get away from busy Melbourne themselves.
