Very cool and overcast here too today and we are expecting quite a bit of rain in the next 2 days (if you believe the weather forcasts).  It's finally starting to feel like the season is changing, haven't felt it up to now.

Enjoy your shopping trip Judy, will be interested in your thoughts on Costco.  :D

Good morning everyone :)

The house and animal sitting is over and we came home last night.    No loss of chooks to the foxes thank goodness and the dog loved being spoilt.
The family had a wonderful time in WA and enjoyed their cruise but were all glad to be home.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

I'm glad the family enjoyed themselves Mab. It's a pretty good place with lots to see.

JulieO the rain for us was like we had 30+years ago. Not heavy, it just rained for several days. It was really nice.

Suzanne, I forgot you don't like winter. I hope you have some warm uggs etc. Do  you like this weather? Sunny and cool? I believe it is going to be 29 over the weekend.t perfect.

Just back from Costco.  I have been before whilst holidaying in Melbourne but it's nice to have our own here at last.  You really need to know your prices before going to a place like this but I did pick up a few good buys

12 sm cans tuna $12.59
1 litre cream for $2.29 which is $1 off their normal price this week, even the normal price is cheap!
5 litres white vinegar $2.69, what a bargain
2 big bunches coriander for $3.99 - will drop one into Katie tomorrow if she would like one.

I love their meat so bought 3 kg minced beef @ $6.99 kg, not sure if that's cheap or not but it looks really nice.
Have never seen flank steak in my area so picked up 2 pieces weighing 1.5kg for $20.68, once again don't know how this compares to other places but I wanted it.

Bought a few other bits and pieces but saw so much that I would buy next time.  Tasted a few samples here and there throughout the store and had a great coffee outside the checkout afterwards, huge for $1.99.  Definitely worth a visit if you live in Adelaide, it's adjacent to a whole new Coles shopping centre and as it's been years since I've been on Churchill Road it was all new to me.

All sounds good Judy.  Have been to the Melb one with DIL. She said that when the GC were younger they thought it was a buffet cafe with all the samples. I sampled a curry which was said to be mild but went rushing to the free yoghurt to cool off. Couldn't get over the size of the trolleys. I could easily fill one.  It is best that I stay away.

Mab, nice to be home.  Glad the Chooks are OK.

It sounds like great fun Judy. I'm not sure when ours opens. Aldi is next year.

Morning all.
Very cool today. Have fire going so house nice and warm.
Suzanne, funny how we are so different.  I love the cold and can't stand the heat.  Only thing I don't like about Winter are the early dark mornings and evenings.

Good morning everyone,  22 mls in the past 24 hours here and everything smells so fresh.

Wonder, I'm going to use the bulk of it for SC pulled beef and a small piece is set aside for when I make CC's Cornish Pasties.  Other than that I would search Google for some more ideas.
