I noticed Spot trackers are being advertised more broadly now. Each of our guys carry one. In case of emergency you can press a button which alerts emergency services to your location ( and other numbers stored) they can also track your travel and send "I'm ok" messages. You do need to pay an annual fee though.
Good for anyone who travel remote areas, or / and bush walkers etc.

An excellent idea Denise. We take our epurb with us when we go inland. It is registered for land and sea.

Good morning everyone. Was supposed be going on the Dolphin river cruise today with Morpeth and some residents (including DH) but it's been postponed due to the wheelchair lift being out of action. A pity as today would have been a perfect day for it whereas in 2 weeks' time it could be anything.

That will be so disappointing for everyone Judy, especially the residents as I'm sure many look forward to outings. Let's hope the weather stays lovely.

Good morning all. Keeping fingers crossed for the weather next time Zjudy.
We used to always see Dolphins in the Canning a River when we take our early morning walks.
This past Summer, we didn't see any! One dolphin got tangled in some discarded fishing line, it was rescued and untangled, but we wonder if that's the reason they haven't been back to that part of the river. Sad for a lot of dolphin watchers, just because of one idiot!

We have lots in our Port River Katj but they are not without their problems. The last tragedy, one was shot!

Hi everyone. Fingers crossed Judy that the lift and weather are both OK for your rescheduled cruise.

It was such a lovely day here today that I decided to take Geoff for a walk to the carousel on the Semaphore foreshore, only took half hour to walk there and back but it's been over 2 years since I last pushed him anywhere and those princess chairs are more difficult to control than a supermarket trolley. We did it though.
There's a nice young lady there with dementia and today she came up to me with her arms out for a hug. I was so thrilled to give her one, I always speak and smile at her and finally she thinks of me as a friend.
