What a lovely lunch you are planning with DH Judy, I am sure you will all have a wonderful time.  The nursing staff must love breaks  away from work like this.

Chookie, how is the landscaping going?  Yesterday must have been miserable for the gardeners, hope it is a better day for them today if they are still working at your place.

Morning all.
Dark and cold at the moment.
Marina mud everywhere. Hope it is a bit dryer today. Fence has been removed. Hope the Wallaby hasn't discovered this.
Wombat at Front door last night. Has pink nose and ears. When told to go home, it really didn't want to.

Gert I'm coming to live with you, it's not even winter yet and the cold weather is making me miserable already

It is 23.2 degrees in my bedroom at the moment. Not getting out of bed until  24! Sun is shining.

Gert, about time. Glad it is back.
Go for it with the cooking.  Gelatin leaves come in different strengths.  Better check the recipe and your packet. I like them better than the powdered stuff.
Poor gardeners, worked in the cold and rain. Ral said they should go home but they said they would keep going.

I don't eat sweet thing normally so never use gelatin. This leaves are titanium so should be fine for anything. Very happy to have them.

I skipped the lime essence completely Gert, didn't miss it at all. Have you got the kaffir lime leaves?

Yup got Kaffir lime leaves .

Welcome home to Gert's thermomix. May your stay at home with Gert be very long.

Poor you Suzanne. You need to go north for the winter.

Judy, Gert and others who cook for one it must be very hard to prepare your meal and then sit at a table and eat it.

Yes it is and boring. Having to cook for others is a lot more interesting even if I have complained in the past. LOL!

Chookie I bet you are feeding your crew well! No wonder they will work in those conditions.

It was lovely thanks girls, I couldn't believe how much Geoff ate - panko crumbed large prawns, chips,  1.5 rolls and even some salad from my plate.  8 residents, 2 carers and 2 wives.

Atmosphere has a lot to do with it Gert, the food where Geoff is is really quite good but he only eats when he feels like it.

Good to hear Geoffs getting along well Judy.
Pleased your TM 5 is back safe and sound Gert and that you are entertaining, well feeding some friends. I always find you entertaining Gert!
I saw the ACA review.  I love the thought of a 4 litre jug with the KA but think changing the blades for different functions would be annoying.  TM 31 is the best.
Hope yours returns home soon CC.

Morning all.
Judy , glad Geoff enjoyed his lunch. Nice outing for all.

Gert , when the Gardeners were coming, I said I would feed them but they said no.  They start early and finish early.
However it has been bitterly cold and wet so I made some veggie soup and cheese scones and offered them some. They enjoyed it.   Yesterday soup again with fresh SD bread.  The landscapers wife sent me an eMail and thanked me for looking after them.
The head gardener is as excited as we are about how the garden is going to look and keeps making excellent suggestions to my basic design.
