Morning all.
CC, that sounds awful.
Judy, have fun.
Cool here this morning. Looking forward to a day in the garden. Man with Excavator is coming to load up the garden beds.  Can't  wait.
Telstra coming to connect phone. Will have to go out and buy new phone.
Ral has been going wild with his new hedge cutter. Fortunately it has safe blades so he can't  trim himself.

I is here! I pop in most days to have a read but my life is so boring these days I have little to say to you and my cooking has gone out the window!

As some of you know my DH's passed away on St Patrick's Day 2015 and since then I have sold my house and moved into Oak Tree Retirement Village in Cairns. It was a very good move and I have settled into village life and the activities here. On Mondays I spend an hour or two helping fellow residents with their digital devices as needed. I walk the dog. About 3 kilometres a day, play lawn and indoor bowls badly, go out to lunch with friends and generally keep busy. I read a lot, watch TV, attend  village functions and life is pretty good. I also spend time with my apple addiction asI now have 4 iPads. Yeah, don't ask. Shopping on line is another favourite and I just ordered another oven wave thingy for the microwave. Best thing ever.

Next month I am taking a local freighter up to the Torres Strait and on that voyage I will toss DH's ashes in the Albany Strait. If it were not for Jaxon the 14 year old dog I would travel around and visit with some of you. Alas little Jaxon would not do well in a kennel so travel generally is on hold.  My DD will stay here while I go in the 5 night trip.

So that is me up to date. I do keep up with all of your doings but would bore you rigid with mine. LOL!

Very good to hear from you Gert. Looking forward to a visit from you at Invermay when we get past, what the kids call GLAMPING. Also when Jaxon is no longer a concern.
Glad you are enjoying Village life and envy those lucky people you help with their electronic devices.

Your life sounds far from boring Gert and the photos on Facebook are testament to that.  With the age group of a retirement village I imagine your Monday service is very much appreciated. I'm sure the freighter crew are going to love having you aboard for your final trip with Ted.  Keep enjoying life!

Hi Gert. Lovely to see you here for a quick hello. Enjoy the trip on the freighter, I'm sure you will enliven the trip for them.
I love the idea of 4 iPads, I'm sure I need at least one more! I can only guess at how much your IT help is loved. I'm sure the queue gets longer each Monday.
Take care and hopefully I may get to drop in on you next year.

Nice to hear about what you've been up to Gert.
DH & I are now in an over 55 retirement village and for anyone who has time on their hands there is plenty to do.
Astarra, my DD went through her 3 kids wardrobes and also sorted what they need for winter. We made a start at Target yesterday, so much cute stuff for the little ones.

Good afternoon everyone.  Back home from the holidays and feeling very relaxed.

It's lovely to hear from you Gert and to hear what you have been up to, I could do with some of your help with those electronic gadgets. :)

There is so much for me to catch up on I'm sure it will take me days to get through all the news.

Margaret I'm sure it is lovely to be home. I'm pleased that you enjoyed your break away.

We're off to Darwin early May.

Morning all.
Welcome home Margaret. Did your SD survive? My small one that I took to Invermay has taken nearly a week to recover, by leaving on the the bench and feeding and stirring . It now smells good and is bubbling away.
CC, isn't the sun beautiful. I also hope it stays like that for you.
Today we set up the drip system for our veggie garden . I drew a plan of what I wanted and the very helpful man at the plastics shop sorted all the bits for me. OMG, I love Ballarat.
Yesterday a man with a Bobcat came and filled the raised gardens. He refused to charge the correct fee because he said I had given him morning tea. Can you believe that!!
With any luck I will start planting today.
