Geoff & Mum both $30 winners in today's Melbourne Cup sweep at their nursing home.  That's 2 years in a row that one of Geoff's horses has won for him.  How did everyone else go?

Hi friends.
Yet another foggy morning here.A longer walk with Chance this morning as we had to avoid the herd of horses crowding around a stile that we use :-))

Good Morning everyone, a beautiful spring morning here :)
After 3 hrs of struggle to go back to sleep with a blocked nose and hayfever, I got an hour sleep before coming to work, so not bad... just few more days of work, will get there eventually ;)

Morning all.
Lloyd Williams, owner of Melb Cup winner, has 3 TMX. He also has a chef to use them. 1 at each of his 3 homes.
Yesterday was very cold here.
Yesterday I bartered a dozen eggs, a jar of Cumquat jelly, a jar of tomato jam and a gem lettuce for a bag of chook food that will last a month. Both parties very happy.

Poor you Thermilover. It's not fun.
I love the bartering Chookie.

Congratulations to Geoff and your Mum Judy. We went in DD's work sweep......nothing!  She won the best hat and received a bottle of Moët , I hope she shares it. Her hat was a newspaper hat with work specific labels all over it. 😊😊

It's been beautiful sunny day here today but cold. I saw a bit of ground frost when walking this morning with Chance.

Morning all.
A bit warmer today. More gardening.
It was so cold yesterday that the loaf of bread that I made, ( half wholemeal rye and half grain) didn't want to rise. I put it on top of the dehydrator and this worked very well.

Hi friends.
Another sunny day here but again cold.I had to fish out my gloves from the coats cupboard this morning when I walked Chance. The autumn foliage on the trees is spectacular this year due to the very dry October we've had.
