Morning all.
Hi Michele, glad you popped in.
It is back to winter at Cherokee.
We have just picked Bruce and Mandy up after their cruise. Southampton to Melbourne.
We had 1 visitor for Open Day. At least the house gets a very good clean .

Nice to see some of our members popping in to say hello, hi Michele.  What a pity your cooking attempts are not working these days, I wonder why that might be.  Are you using tried and tested forum and/or recipe book recipes plus things you've had success with before or are you trying new recipes?

The cheese sauce was the recipe from TMX5 - I think I followed the recipe to a T. It comes up on the screen.
I did have success with your caramelised onion, mushroom and fetta tarts. Made 100 for a fundraiser movie night we had. I have have made that recipe so many times. I could do it my sleep. ;D

hello all
will try to post more often, just had such tough times with DH cancer, but he is doing ok ATM, he is on immunotherapy and we are as always awaiting more scan results.
we are not now moving....  DO KEEP UP ..... lol
might get a dog to keep me company and get me out more if i can get their care sorted for the regular hospital attendances.
my DS asked last month if I was still on here and I said yes, but not often, and it made me think I should post more and keep in touch with the wonderful forum friends I have made over many years
hugs to you all xx

Hi friends.
A beautiful sunny day here today,so different from the dreadful day yesterday. A good walk with Chance, poor boy got covered with mud as it was very wet underfoot.Being a Sunday it was very quiet and I only saw one car.

I haven't had a chance to read up on the earthquake yet, Michelle; those poor people in Christchurch, they have had such an incredibly tough time with earthquakes over the past couple of years.  They must be living in an almost constant state of fear by now.

It must be very frightening for your DH's family Michelle.A big quake at 7.8. The BBC news says two people have been killed. So sad.

Good morning everyone.  That was a big earthquake, you never know what news you're going to wake to every morning these days.  My thoughts are with all those affected yet again in that part of the world.

Hello all :)
My family is living the earthquake drama ATM - glad I got out of the country on Wednesday!!! :D
They are all alive and unharmed physically so we are grateful for that. Business wise there will be a lot of $$ worth of damage and stock loss....but $$ is much better to lose than lives :)
:D

Good that your family are all safe.  My sister was scheduled to fly out of Wellington today but last I heard she was grounded with no flights so sitting at the airport.
