Morning all.
Judy and Mab, great cleaning out. Have been surprised at how mant pairs of shoes some of you girls have. I onlyhave 4 pairs. Plus garden boots and slippers.
Yesterday I lost 4 litres of SD starter when my very energetic starter burst the glass jar in the fridge. What a mess. I managed to save 1 tablespoon,  enough to start again. Ral spent most of the morning cleaning up the floor and the removing everything from the fridge.

Good Morning.
Oh Chookie, I can only imagine what a clean up job that would have been.
Glad Ral helped.

We are packing up and off home today. Can't believe it's been a week already.

Good morning everyone, warming up here again.
Wow, what did you feed that little fellow Chookie and what a shock it must have been when you opened the fridge door.
I've seen Ral in action when there's a calamity in the house Michele, he is a wonderful husband.

Oh no Chookie that is awful. Thank goodness Ral helped. I keep my starter in a Pyrex dish with a lid that could pop off if needed. I've always been worried about is exploding.
I listened to an interview on the radio a couple of mornings ago with a baker who makes SD in Victoria some where. He always takes his starter away with him as he likes to look after it himself. Once one of his apprentices was cleaning up and threw the yucky looking jar with the starter in, out. He said they were able to save enough to get it going again. It was quite interesting.

Mich, your week has gone very quickly. Take care driving.

What a mess, Chookie - I don't envy either you or Ral the cleanup!  DH keeps his starter in a jar in the fridge with a piece of tulle fabric over the top - it seem to work and, so far, he has avoided any explosions (fingers crossed!)

He has just told me he did have one explosion a while ago and I had forgotten that (probably on purpose)!

Blimey Chookie bit of a shock finding that mess in your fridge.Good that Ral stepped in to clear up the mess and you saved enough starter to grow again.

Just waiting for it to get light so I can walk Chance.

Very icy underfoot walking Chance this morning. On my way back a car had skidded on the ice on a sharp bend and it was on its side in the ditch. The diver was unhurt,he was just waiting for the recovery service to pull his car out.I reckon he had done a lot of damage to the underneath of the car as it had landed sideways on a concrete drain that's in the ditch.Poor chap, a horrible expensive start to his New Year. I certainly see some things in the countryside LOL.

I had my shoe sort out yesterday afternoon so that I can drop them off this morning. I'm afraid I'm up there with you Judy. I have a weak spot for shoes. I will admit it.

Good afternoon everyone.

CC, so pleased the driver wasn't hurt.

Ditto Chookie, 3 loads of washing here as well, all back in folded and put away.
