It looks lovely though Chookie. How long does it take Ral to scoot around on his ride on mower or do you have a contractor for that?
Good morning everyone.

Judy, this is the middle section of our place, the house block. Ral usually does each section, a1/3 at a time. Usually about an hour for each part.

Looks a bit on the cool side, Chookie, but a gorgeous looking garden.

Not so cold here this morning. 6 degrees.
We are off to the Creswick community swap. I am taking baking trays and dishes I no longer want. I would have cooked something to take but we were in Melbourne yesterday and didn't get home till late.
Hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

Good morning on this nice, sunny day here.
I found I couldn't part with any of my different types of fancy baking trays Chookie, most still look brand new as I've never been a prolific baker. I have the room so I just restacked them and I'm hoping to pass them onto my grand-daughter one day if she shows an interest in cooking - that interest is not obvious yet though. I did consider putting 2 old trays in the bin but for the time being just transferred them to a cupboard which I haven't sorted yet. When I reach that cupboard I will throw them in the bin, I will !!

Good afternoon everyone. I went to a little country market this morning, bought some honey for DH and some chilli dipping sauce for DS.

Judy I had a chuckle about you throwing the baking trays in the bin. Some of my cake tins are over 50 years old. I bought them early when I first started baking and still use them. I inherited some from Mum too.

My Mum didn't bake much cookie, she made non-bake slices mainly and she used tomato soup cans to make allbran loaves - I think they may have been steamed. Most of the fancy trays I have were bought because of the cooks on this forum who would post pictures of madelines, heart shaped individual cakes, whoopie pies (I don't think I've even used those 2 trays) and mini loaves to name a few. It was a bit like follow the leader there for a while when we all bought these tins and even electric appliances like pie and pizza makers.

Judy I have had a pie maker for about 18 years and still use it. Still use the pizza machine every week as well.
I got to keep all Mums baking trays, and all kitchen things, some are quite old, but still really great.

Very very cold here today. Max 8 degrees.
Judy don't chuck the trays out. Take them to an op shop. Someone will love them.
The excess cooking tray I took to the swap were gobbled up. The plastic trays for making chocolates went first.
A woman was giving a SD cooking class in the hall at the community centre at Creswick. About 8 people paid $50 each for the morning class. Ral and I looked in. As Ral commented. "Not very inspirational. ".
My Mum was a great cook. Very much ahead of her time. I still have some of her baking tins. She liked nothing better than to cook with me. We had similar tastes in what we liked to cook and eat.
