Very cold here today. The ground was frozen this morning when I walked Chance.

Take care in the heat Friends.

Judy, doesn’t matter where you walk.  At Cherokee I used to walk in the house when the weather was bad.  I have bought a secondhand walking machine for $200.   Plenty of space at Invermay. I stick my iPad to the top with Blutac and watch something that goes for the minutes that I want to walk. River Cottage Australia has been good.

Good idea Chookie.  I did half my walk outside this morning then the other half inside as it became too hot.  I dropped my iPad twice last week (never dropped one before) so I put it in this morning and picked it up on the way home after checking the price at 2 places.  I thought $95 was much better than $120-$130.

Did it need any repairs Judy or was it a check over?
DH's ipad was dropped by him in its first few weeks. It was unable to be repaired as he smashed the screen. Apple sold us a new one for about ½ price and I put on a cover that was unable to be broken.......that's what they said!!!!! Its in a pretty poor state now but it has protected the ipad.

It only needed the glass replaced cookie.  The repairman told me there are 2 sections and I had only broken the first one (he is not an Apple employee) so maybe your DH broke both parts.  I had bought a protective film for mine when I bought it and I think that held it together when I dropped it.  The second time I dropped it there were far more cracks in the screen.  I’m thinking of buying a mini IPad to carry around in my handbag instead of carting this one around with me every day.

Once we have an iPad it is hard to go without. I don't have the internet on my phone so use my iPad.

I certainly was Michele. ;)

We had a major storm blow through overnight. It woke me up at 3.00am as the wind was howling!!!! On my way back from my walk with Chance I saw a huge tree had blown down. Unfortunately where the tree had landed it had squashed a camper van in another persons garden. I hope the tree owner has insurance. It also took out all of their garden fencing. A big bill for that household ahead.

CC, that is bad for both parties.
Last night at 7 pm it was 41 degrees at Barwon Heads. We go home today. Hot again with cool change later.

Good morning everyone. Another stinker here today and I see Melbourne is going to be the same. Baton down the hatches folks, stay cool.
What an expensive mess to clean up Denise.
Have a safe trip home Chookie.

Drive carefully Chookie and Ral.
Denise that sounds like a Port night for you. The poor people with damage, so upsetting.

The heat you are experiencing sounds absolutely ghastly. We have been very fortunate so far this year and you poor people have copped it. Our hot months are still to come, but 40* is horrid. Drink lots and stay near the air con if at all possible. Gayle I hope your chooks are ok and also yours Chookie.

We have arrived home. all good.   I must say that I was worried about my chooks.  Our very nice neighbor offered to look after them.  He has visited every day and has spent 1/2 an hour feeding Chooks, giving them fresh water AND watering the garden.
He is not well and spends nearly all his time at home.  The reward for him was that he coped with this task and got fresh eggs every day.   He is very pleased with himself.
We of course are delighted for both him and Chooks.  He will not accept any money so I will make him some plum jelly and a loaf of SD.  He can’t eat jam with lumps.

What a wonderful neighbour Chookie. It's wonderful that everything is surviving well, especially your neighbour for his achievement.
