Gert you are so very correct on all the dumb people. When I was deputy at school one of my first jobs to do at the beginning of each year was contact parents about their children's allergies. We had two children with an anaphylactic reaction to nuts and one diabetic. About 50 others. When I rang the parents I got mostly 'oh she/he is just allergic....what happens?.......... oh nothing really......... he/she is just allergic!!!! People are just stupid.
One very distant relly says they are gluten intolerant.........why?........ its fashionable.Grrrr.

Sorry, it's one of my hobby horses.

Must have been a nightmare Cookie.  Credible doctor's diagnosis is needed in print I say.

Poor Cookie.  What a headache.
When I interviewed kids for enrolment.  If there was a divorce we asked to see and have a copy of  the court order so we could be clear on who had access to the child.
We occasionally had a father demanding to see his child when he  clearly had no right.

The gluten issue does have a sunny side.   More people want SD bread.  If the are not prepared to pay $7 to $10 a loaf, then they have to learn to make it themselves.

So much food to make and not enough people to eat it is my problem.
I have the other side of the problem Cookie. Everything gets eaten faster than I can cook it. I can spend all day cooking and am lucky if things last 24 hours  :-)) Maybe I could rent them out?

So sad and so true Gert. When my 3 children were in primary school they asked what allergies they had. When I told them none they all looked very disappointed. It took quite a while and a sustained effort to convince them no allergies was a good thing. ANNA what the heck? Dietary requirements for school excursions were difficult a decade ago. Now they must be an absolute nightmare!

I took Portuguese tarts to one gathering and they contained gluten so couldn’t be eaten by many.
Their loss Chookie. I'll bet they were delicious.

Hi friends.
It's been a particularly cold day here and it's going to get colder :P :P  The ground was hard as rock walking this morning. At least on the plus side Chance came back relatively clean ;D

Your day sounds awful Margaret. We are still being spoiled with quite pleasant weather.

Another frosty start to the day here but we have brilliant sunshine this afternoon. Walking across the fields the morning (7.25am) there were a couple of tractors cutting the hedges. At least they are doing it before before the birds start nesting.

Morning all.
CC, would they be Hawthorne hedges. ?   Love them. There were lots at Cherokee. We would tell the GC that the red berries were the birds lollies.
Nice 18 degrees day.  Yesterday was a shocker, hot and windy, like Mab said.
