Morning all.
Nice mild day.  Recovering today.  Too many visitors and too much cooking.

Good morning everyone.  Back from the holiday.  The weather is much cooler here so need to get some warmer clothes on.

Welcome back Margaret.

Another wet rainy day here today. The fields are saturated with water and there is runoff onto the roads and footpaths. :-)) Still plenty of mud too!

Good morning everyone, life returns to normal for most of us now that Easter is over.  With such beautiful weather the whole time our beachside suburbs were so busy the whole time.  I’m sure the traders did a roaring business.

Hopefully your weather will break soon Denise and we will start receiving some much needed rain around here.

Hello all, have not been around, as we have all had viruses, and just stayed low. Have not really cooked or eaten much for over a week.
We are back to normal now. :)

You must all be very happy to be feeling better Robyn.

Life has been a little crazy here the last 48 hours. Late yesterday afternoon we received a call from the nursing home to say MIL had been vomiting non stop for many hours. Not long after we received another to say that she had tried to get out of bed (they didn’t have the rail up) and had had a bad fall.  She has had many falls but this time she did some damage. They got an ambulance and DH and DD took off down to Rockingham. It’s an hour away but MIL hadn’t arrived when they got there. The hospital were very good and x rayed her and gave her a scan of her head. She has no head injury apart from a cut and a real shiner, but she has broken her lower leg.  My mob didn’t get home u til nearly 2am.  Naturally they went down again this morning and she is feeling brighter and has pain relief.
She is going back to the nursing home this afternoon as she needs 100% care.  She is happy about that.

So so sorry Cookie. It is a worry but she is going to be well looked after.

I hope she is feeling OK cookie, in my experience care residents are always glad to go ‘home’ to the people they know rather than stay in hospital.  These times are hard for them and their families.

Thanks heaps Gert and Judy. We have just had a call from the nursing home to say she is all tucked up in bed and settled.
