Yes, he was quite perky and recovered when he got back.

It was the kind of situation that made us all frustrated and annoyed at the time (I was just about to kick them out of the shop, actually), but we were able to laugh and joke about it later ... when we had all recovered!

Woke in the night ( 3 am) and we had no power.  The lights were ok.  Rang electrician whocame at 2.. pm. Nothing wrong at our end so rang Powercor.  They said we had the problem.  In the meanwhile our neighbour called in to see if we had power.  He had none.  Rang Powercor again and they promised  to send a team out. Finally had power by 5.45.pm.
We had no heating and were wearing hats inside.
It was max 9 degrees outside.

Judy, we do have gas but have to light the gas with a match.  Also because our house has an addition it has two separate power boards. The main one wasn’t working.
We are on 2 phase wiring. One phase wasn’t working. The message is that the Electricity company will try and fob you off even though we had an electrician check it.  If it hadn’t been for our neighbours also complaining,  they would have done nothing.
Cold and wet here today.

Well I hope that’s the end of your electricity problems Chookie, the power supplier doesn’t sound very helpful.

That sounds dreadful Chookie. It would be hard with it so cold and no power.

I’m loving every moment of this warm weather Chookie although it would be different if I had to commute to work each day. Chance finds the hot weather difficult. I walk him early in the morning and on his afternoon walk we keep him in the shade of the wood opposite where live.

Overcast  and 22 here today. Quite warm after the previous days. DH was up at 4.45am this morning as he was helping at an auto swapmeet. I don't even offer my help! It is another car club we are members of.

Another start to a beautiful day. Out early with Chance again. There was an abundance of butterflies in the field that I walked through this morning.

Very white frost this morning, followed by a beautiful sunny day.
Had a great day at the party.  All went well.
The little piggy was a great success.  The salad were imaginative and delicious.
The cakes lovely.
The Birthday cake was piped in by GD.
