Morning all.
I think I did well with the Electricity company.  Probably save about $ 400 to $500 a year.  The biggest problem is that they can change the rate that they charge you without notice.  I have asked that they notify us by mail of any changes but nevertheless will have to be diligent and watch each bill, also by mail. The State Government is trying to do something about this behaviour and make the quote secure for 12 months.
The weather is warming up today.

Good morning everyone.  A lovely sunny day here.   I went shopping early this morning to avoid the heat

We only have one electricity provider here too, so no negotiations needed. The price of the daily charge here is ghastly.
We have several gas providers here but I think we are getting the best price we can. DD was at the AGM of our gas provider and she got us another 2½% on top of what we already had, so that was good.

It's only going to be 27 here today so I will go out and do the shopping in a while. The next 2 days are forecast to be hot.

The raspberries are very tasty although smaller than those in the shops.

My in-laws lived in the countryside on Culloden Moor, just outside Inverness in Scotland and the wild raspberries growing in the hedgerows around there were absolutely gorgeous - I have had a love affair with raspberries ever since!

I don't blame you Marina. I hade never tasted them until about 25-30 years ago when we were travelling over east. They were always far too  expensive to buy here. We tasted some and were hooked. They are delicious.

One of the reason Raspberries are expensive it that they are so perishable.  Commercially they are picked very early in the morning and shipped to Market the same day.
It has rained heavily here , on and off for 2 days.  Yesterday evening there was a lot of flooding around Ballarat.   Fortunately we are on a slope and the water ran down to our dam.
