The concrete has been poured and we now had a foundation slab.
We are hunkering down for another bad storm to blow through this weekend called Storm Dennis.

I hope you don’t get a shock when the water bill arrives Julie.  Good spotting by DH.

Our water bill arrived by email yesterday but the meter was read on the 21st Jan, so probably the next bill is where it will show up.  At least we are aware of it and will try and be careful the next 3 months before it arrives.  :D

Hope the storm wasn't too bad Cornish.  You must be so sick of the rain being cramped in the van.  Hope the better weather starts soon.  :)

A cool and overcast morning here.  We had a wild storm come through yesterday afternoon.  Lots of wind, thunder, lightening and torrential rain.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Cool and misty this morning. Yesterday we sat on the veranda and enjoyed the heavy rain.
CC, that is great about the slab.  We have been watching the weather map and you have had some wild weather.

Not fun for you Denise. First Ciara and now Dennis.

Yesterday turned out to be 41. Not a fun day. Cooler today but very humid.

Good news Denise and timely too by the sound of the weather that’s on the way.

Think we are into Autumn. Still a bit humid.  Cooler today. Clean out Chook shed day.

I hope everything survived the storm Denise. I guess the next one will start with an E.

Well we survived Storm Dennis here in our van. Copious amounts of rain fell. DH has pumped large quantities of standing water off the site into the ditches in our lane. Many homes have been flooded in parts of the UK.. Mud slides in Wales. Red alerts of half a dozen rivers here.
Luckily it’s been dry today. The ground workers are back here tomorrow.

CC, sounds like you are coping well with difficult conditions.
We have just had a thunderstorm with a bit of heavy rain.

I saw some footage of the flooding last night Denise, it sounds as if DH has everything under control where you are.  Some days without rain would be nice at this stage.

The tv vision of Storm Dennis has been quite terrifying Denise.  I’m glad all is ok with you.
