It started to snow when walking Chance this morning but it didn’t settle.

CC,  what next! It feels like the environment is throwing everything at you.  The weather here has been very mild, we could do with some rain.
Yesterday I swapped a Pipe loaf for some Lettuce and Kale seedlings.

A lovely sunny morning here.

Chookie, I love your barter system, should be more of it.  I trade some sewing for vegetables with a friend.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Mab, knowing how nice your sewing is, I think the other people would have been the winners.
Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day here.
Today we are expecting a delivery of fruit , veggies and milk. Also from the chemist shop eye drops, batteries and pegs.  Yes, lm not kidding about the batteries and pegs. The pegs are to hold down the bird netting on the veggie raised beds.
A friend is doing a drive by to pick up some flour and potatoes.
I am spending more time on the phone than usual.
We are having our flu shots on Friday.  We have to go to the Surgery. Not happy about that but Dr said that all ok.
We are coping well but not sure how we will be in 6 months.

I went to the doctor on Monday and sat in my car until she came out to get me. We then went through the back door to avoid the waiting room. I had to have a blood test yesterday so couldn’t avoid the waiting room then but I was there very early to avoid a crowd.  My veins are never willing to cop-operate with this procedure but I’d had 3 tumblers of water beforehand and the lady working there yesterday was the best I’ve ever had.  She filled the 4 vials in no time at all and I heaped praise on her for her efforts.  In and out in no time thus not holding up others waiting.  I have to ring in a week or so re the flu shot, they generally hold a special clinic for this injection but I’m sure they will manage it well.  If and when the nursing home re-opens to visitors no-one will be allowed in if they haven’t proof of having had their flu shot and we have to have it by the 1st of May.  Therefore I take it that they will not be re-opening in the near future.

Everyone is advising us to get our flu shots early this year. Our GP is still in isolation after coming back from his holidays so I will ring in a couple of weeks.  The lady Dr I saw the other day was lovely though.

Doesn’t matter who you see. Went Mon. 30seconds to have doctor take temp and to ensure the practice can bill the government. 1 minute with nurse. Everyone is making money.  A 50cent  Drug probably cost the taxpayers $100.

It is all so strange.  We have to go to the surgery for the flu shots but the pathology will send someone to the house to do Rals blood test.
The fruit and veg delivery was good.  Bit like a lucky dip. We had fresh Raspberries for Dinner with our little custard tarts.
Our gardener came, and we talked, at a distance.  She brought us 2 SD hotX buns she had made to my recipe.  Lovely.  I gave her some potatoes and bread flour.
DD sent photo of GS.  GD had given him a hair cut and had put a reddish tint through it.  It looked very good.

What a brave GS you have Chookie, allowing his sister to do that. :D :D :D

I agree cookie, most boys wouldn’t let their sister do that. Did their Mum know it was happening Chookie?

Nursing home adding a further 4 weeks to lockdown so now I’m wondering if Mum will even know me after the 6 weeks which could turn into goodness knows what.

Judy, upsetting but doing it for the safety of clients and staff.   Don’t know how long this bl@#$&y virus will last.
We think GD probably consulted UTUBE for haircut info.  GD and GS have a very good relationship so he would trust her. Mother would say ok as it would grow out in 6 weeks.
It rained all day yesterday here.  Lovely.

LOL Chookie.  How did it fall, did it dance over to the edge during use?
