Cookie, that is so good to hear that DH now feels better. The whole situation is very upsetting for everyone.
Going out today for blood test was like a military operation.
DD tells me that people are doing strange things as they are sick of the lockdown and look at the local figures and say that that isn’t so bad, let’s go out.
We are waiting for a call from Dr as Rals platelets are still down.

Good Morning/Evening, Chookie, hope your ankle is better. Put your feet up and enjoy some rest time. Glad your DH & DD got to see MIL, Cookie - I'm surprised they let 2 people in for a visit. Maintaining a safe distance and trying to communicate would be hard Judy - at least you had a visit - you do the best you can. Denise, I feel for  you folk in the UK, such a high death rate. I'm going to try making bread today, probably a bit ambitious but I will get a recipe from the forum and see how it goes. Have a good day all.

Lovely to see you on the forum McMich.  Try Chookie's FKM no fuss loaf, it is so easy to make.
Chookie, take care of yourself and rest up that ankle.
Cookie, so glad that your DH and DD were able to visit your MIL.
Judy it was nice that you were able to visit you mum even if it was from a distance.

The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Nice to hear from you Michele, good luck with your bread.
Have you been somewhere to have that ankle looked at Chookie?

Good Morning/Evening  :D We have had some lovely warm weather here. Thanks for the bread suggestion MAB. Tried a potato bread recipe that Judy posted. It was nice and easy too. It wouldn't rise. I checked the date on the yeast and I am embarassed to say that it expired in March 2013.  :-[  Still in the fridge after 7 years. I thought I would have buckleys of getting anymore. Went to the local IGA for a some things and they had plenty on the shelves. Will give it another go today. Stay safe and have a great day.

Morning all. Yesterday was a win win day.
Ral didn’t have to go into hospital.  We are in a ‘ wait and see’  situation , for two weeks.
The chemist delivered an ankle strap and this has helped.  Still sore but much better.
Forced to sit down, I faced up to the problems I have been having with my Blog, and fixed it.
Had another delivery of fresh Fruit and Veg. It is like opening a surprise package.  What can I do with all those carrots.  Made roasted carrot soup with interesting spices. DD got this.
Thought about how Cookies DH can’t enjoy these lovely new Coconut biscuits as he doesn’t like coconut.  Made similar but used peanut butter and added some rolled oats.  Pretty good.
Found a nice Maggie Beer recipe for the jars of Sweetened Chestnut Paste that I bought a year ago.
Made 15 SD Crumpets.
What am I doing with all this food? A lot going to two hungry Teenage GC who are at home doing school work, and to neighbours who would rather be in the garden than cook.
I have decided that the lockdown is not so bad.

I agree Chookie, if you can keep occupied doing something you love then it’s great.  I take my hat off to your efforts, I’m having fun just reading what you get up to every day.

A good day for you Chookie. Good news for you and Ral with those platelets.

Good morning all.
I’m drying some SD.  If anyone wants some, I can post it with instructions.
I put in an order for Woolworths/ Safeway.  RAL is missing his Tim Tams .  :D I found it very complicated.  We waited . It didn’t arrive.  I hadn’t ticked the box to allow them to charge $1 for packaging.  After a phone call to my sister who has used this service , I did the order again it should arrive on Sunday.   Not as much fun as shopping.

It’s certainly more frustrating Chookie, you’d think they’d let you know that your order wasn’t completed and why.  At least you now know for next time.

They should be making allowances for people that don't usually use online for shopping. I must admit I enjoy wondering around and checking out new things in the supermarket. Now a days it's a rush in and get what I want.

Morning all.
It has turned very cold and we have the heater on.
The veggies are growing like mad.  A good start for Winter.
SD taking longer to rise.

DD sent me this picture of their first open fire in the movie room the other night. I had to ask her if it was cold but being a large, old house she said it’s always cold. They have fireplaces in 4 of the rooms.

Hello  All, beautiful day here. Good to be out in the garden.

The fireplace looks very cosy.

That's beautiful Judy. The animals are obviously enjoying it.,

Coldish here today. We had 10mm of rain yesterday. I think summer may be over.
