One of our GD's turned 22 yesterday so we all went out for dinner to a Japanese restaurant.  A new experience, we all ordered something different and the food came in small amounts.  You just kept ordering until you had had enough.  A set price and eat until you are full.  So many new dishes to try, I stopped early but the men kept on eating. I was amazed at how much a 16 year old young man could put away.  I'm glad I don't have to feed him every night.

What a lovely night you had Margaret.  I know men who only stop eating when all the food has gone, they should go to a place like this!

That sounds lovely Mab. I believe they say teenage boys have hollow legs.

Mab, that sounds lovely. We love Japanese food but Asian cuisine is not good in Ballarat.  Although I may be a bit harsh as we are spoilt by the excellent restaurants in Melbourne.
It is quite cool now and everyone is burning the piles of garden rubbish they have stacked up over Summer. I have got out my winter Woolies.
I feel very pleased with the clothes I took to the op shop. Think I might do same with my baking tins.

I have heaps of baking tins. Mum loved baking too and I have all hers as well as mine. DD may take some with her so I will keep them for the moment.
The last 3 days we have had smoke hanging round. A breeze has just come up so that is moving it out to sea.

6 monthly appointment with heart specialist. Last time he was very cross with me, this time happy. We were out all day yesterday.  Had lunch out. My roll and ham salad was so terrible that I wrapped it up in my serviette and brought it home for the Chooks. This cafe has only one nice dish.  Passionfruit sponge.
RAL asked what a whole Passionfruit sponge would cost.  $34.

Gosh! $34 for some eggs, whipped up and a couple of bits added.
I'm pleased about the heart specialist Chookie.

A nice turnaround with your heart specialist Chookie, well done. Not good about your inedible ham salad, I hope you let the cafe know you were not happy with it.

Hi Everyone,  I haven’t been on here for so long.  Never seems to be enough time though I never seem to achieve much either!   Cold, miserable day here in Adelaide with a few drops of rain.  I have been enjoying the beautiful autumn weather and had hoped it would hang around a little longer.

It’s always nice to see familiar names pop up and say hello Trudy.  I have made myself a note to make your Peaches & Cream recipe soon.
