I hope it ends for you soon cookie, the house gets so hot during a heatwave. I imagine the temp is not dropping low at night either?

I don't envy you those temperatures, Cookie - I guess it is as well that you don't have high humidity to cope with as well.  Take care and try to stay cool.

Cookie, how on earth do you keep cool. ? Thinking of you.
Judy, your gifts sound well worth the thought and effort.
Marina, at least the weather is good for outside work.
24 max here today.
DS helping with lots of things, security gates stuck open, setting AC in bedroom, ordering some stuff online and helping cover peach tree with netting.
I’ve managed to put 2 more of my recipes on the 6.  Have 9 on now.
Last weekend , DD flew to Tassie to train with one of the other girls she is paddling with. This is a photo of her near Brunny Island.

She certainly looks as though she is enjoying herself.

Still hot here. We have ceiling fans which helps at night. We just seem to sit around during tha afternoon as it’s too hot to move.

What a lovely photo of your DD Chookie.

I had a nice surprise when I opened the back door this morning,  I found a tray of truss tomatoes waiting for me.  It took a while to find out where they came from but it turned out they were from my DD's father.  His partner works at the tomato farm.

How lovwely mab.
Judy it is going down to 33 or similar on Friday but then going up to 41 again. Everyone seems so cranky. I did the grocery shopping this morning and people were snarling every where. We have to wear masks if we are inside somewhere, because of the heat I took mine off after I was outside on the way to the car. Someone had a snarl and I was able to politely say "you don't have to wear them outside." Silly old chook he was. Poor guy is probably suffering in the heat.

It's hard to wear masks in the heat, Cookie.  I don't mind in winter ... it keeps my face warm (fogs up my glasses something terrible, but my face is warm!)

Cookie, I agree masks are not nice in hot weather. Infact, masks are not nice in any weather. However we have to wear them.
Hot for us today, 33.
