Thanks for all the loverly good wishes.
We went to the local Golf Club Bistro for Dinner . It wasn’t very good. We would have preferred Meigas which is our favourite but they are closed for the Xmas / NY hols.

Keep me from temptation   .....

I am sorely tempted to buy one of these air fryers (haven't mentioned it to DH yet), https://showtv.com.au/products/fryair-touch-xl-10l-digital-air-fryer-with-rotisserie?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=paid&utm_campaign=FRYAIR+%7C+MOF+%7C+CONV+%7C+AUG22+%7C+PHB&utm_term=WCV+180+%2F+SHORT+VV10sec+%2F+RECIPE+VV50%25+120+%2F+LONG+VV25%25+365&utm_content=AD1+RT+LIVE+7+BARRY+-+ID-ORIGINAL&fbadid=23852365775860111

What is everyone's thoughts ...succumb to temptation or don't bother trying to be good, just go for it!???

The price and offer looks good - but is it too good to be true?

Marina, I have never heard of this A/F so can't give you any help on this one.  I've had my Phillips for about 4 years now and never had any problems with it.  I use it mainly for roasting vegetables. potato bake, chips, fish, chicken pieces, pizza and re heating pies etc.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Is this your first air fryer Marina?  The reviews are always interesting to read and for the price I would have expected this one to have a lot more positive comments.  I’m still using my Phillips which a lot of forum members bought around the same time,  nowhere as much as I used to of course but if it eventually goes I’ll just be buying a cheap one from somewhere. However my motto these days is, if you want something then just buy it.

Thanks Mab and Judy for your feedback.  I have calmed down a bit now and am inclined to feel that perhaps I will not follow through on this one.  I will be patient and see what happens.

I remember when everyone bought the Phillips a/f and I was sorely tempted then, but I have survived without one until now, I can surely survive a little longer ....and work on persuading DH that it would be a helpful tool to have in the kitchen. ;)

I’ve had my Philips since we all bought them. We use it at least twice a week, if not more. When it dies I will buy another one. Friends have one from Aldi and love it.it takes longer to cook things but doesn’t worry them.

Hold off Marina. Look at Facebook section for AF. There are dozens available. Yes, you do need an AF but choose carefully. I like other have a Philips XXL. This is my 3 rd. , of this brand.  I’ve given previous  ones to DD. One has gone to GS , “ man Cave” I have bought several as gifts. One from Big W for a friend who wanted a small one. She loves it. A Philips for my SIL who loves it so much, he bought his mother one. I love how I can put the baskets in the DW. Most of the Philips appear on Special frequently. I have had AF for more than 40 years. The first was a German one which we used mainly in the caravan. Then one of those round convection things with the heater in the top. Hated it as it was difficult to clean. The new models of these are now better designed and easier to clean. Also very cheap. I use mine mostly for reheating. They recommend that you don’t use oil in spray cans as this ruins the non stick coating. Don’t buy a small one.

Thanks, Chookie, all valuable comments to consider.  I didn't even think that there was an AF section on Facebook ... I am almost afraid to look as it could be dangerous, but now that I know about it I suspect I will not be able to stop myself from visiting it!

A busy week for you Chookie. I’m having a BCC sorted out on Wednesday.

I am stumped, Cookie, what is a BCC, or is it personal?
