Hello, from the other side of the move.....
Survived but only just. Camped here last night. Furniture and kit un loaded today. Removals men very good. Felt  really ill after they'd gone and my back was bad, but tears, fluids, food and painkillers in that order and an hour lying flat worked wonders. Bit better now, but oh my golly gosh we really can't move for boxes and furniture. Methinks we should have  done storage. Quart into into pint pot is an understatement..
Off to wales for job interview tomorrow leaving DS with a path from fridge to cooker between the boxes and food in fridge.
Can't even get thermy out!
Sofa to sit on, tv working and beds to sleep on. Broadband working.
Family wedding Saturday. DD home for a night.
What a week.

Good luck, frozzie. I did 14 hour days since Monday last week, but my journey was only 150 miles, not 12,000!

Here is the kitchen, hob behind here.

DJ - so good to hear from you . . .yes, moving house is way up there at the top of the stress list!!  You've done an outstanding job - given you've had a lot to cope with on your own!! I genuinely take my hat off to you!!!   Wales for a job interview??  That wouldn't mean another move would it????

I hate hay fever. Makes you soooooo cranky.

DJ I can see a bonus here. THERMOTHINGY still packed, unable to get to job. See where I am going?  No cooking!!!!! Work to be done for sure but some fish and chips or take away curry can be comfort food . Donor cry into your beer. Salty beer is not good. Good luck with the job.

Hi DJ, welcome to the other side.  If only you had some serious help there to unpack those boxes but as Gert said, food is the last of your worries and if you can order takeaway, just do it to survive the next few days.  It looks such a big job when you are confronted with a houseful of boxes but one by one you will go through them and put everything in it's place and your life will return to normal once more.  You, more than anyone, deserves a normal life after what you have been through lately and I wish you a speedy road to that end.

Hi all, since I've been away I've only just caught up on Uni's big news. Belated congratulations Uni, Eve is just beautiful and I love the name too. Look forward to more photos when you can drag yourself away from your gorgeous GD.
