Yes, all OK thanks Marina.  We have roofing contractors coming this morning to replace the alysnite on our pergola so guess that was on my mind.  Haven't been given a time but I daresay they will be here early. Would rather be asleep though.

Kim, 1 more sleep - how exciting, guess we won't be hearing from you for a few days once DH arrives.  Pity we all can't be there to welcome him to our country.

DJ, glad it all went well and you have more work on Friday.
What sort of stuff do have to do as a nanny?

Sole charge of boys 6 months, and 2 years.
Their meals and their stimulation, education and safety.

So cooked two meals from scratch.
Played football, pushed trikes, read books, built towers, made leaf pictures, washed bottles, changed nappies etc etc

Really that sounds a bit easier than looking after your own children. At least you only have to concentrate on the children and not have to clean, garden, shop, washing etc. Every job is what you make of it.

DJ I am exhausted  just reading about what you did today.  I hope the baby sleeps all day Friday . Did you actually like them?

Judy good luck with the pergola. Hope they turned up on time seeing as you had to get up so early.

Kim we are so happy your DH is on the way. Pity he does not have a tracking number so we could track his journey! You e careful driving to pick him up. Are you taking the kids?

Yes Gert I did like them, a very articulate little boy, probably gifted.
Baby had two sleeps and toddler one, but only a little overlap today so both had one to one from me.

Mcmich I am only an emergency nanny so I am there twice this week, somewhere else next week if called out. Etc etc, any age, stage or cover needed. I also do exactly what I am asked as near as I can. Some times the instructions are sketchy to say the least. And as a temp nanny I always make sure the children are 100 percent ok before doing anything else as often the families are in trouble which is why I am there. This week However I am only replacing a sick nanny.
Yes true about some aspects you mentioned but did clean up quite a bit in the kitchen and you have to have  everything shipshape for when parents come home or,they wonder what they are paying for! And as a nanny you are expected to help their development and provide a lot of stimulation. No tv etc.

Can't take a perm job as likely to be moving again, but don't know when.

Thanks Robyn. I wouldn't want to do this one every day with all those stairs and the bathroom at the top!

Maybe temporary is better DJ. If you don't like the children or the parents you don't have to put up with them for long.
