Gert,  I'm certainly hoping that I will be.  I'm really glad that my kids have such a close relationship with their grandmother.....their grandfather died before bratboy was born (I was 5 months pregnant with him) and their other grandparents live down south so they don't know them well.  I actually had a compliment from my daughter (at least I think it was) when she said to me the other day that when she has kids, she wants to bring them up just like I have brought her up.

I'm not surprised that my son is into music....my great aunt was a brilliant piano player and used to play for the silent movies, my uncle could play anything by ear and I have second cousins and other various relatives once and twice removed who are and were involved in the music industry in the States (I've been told in Hollywood?)  Hopefully he will continue with it....but you can't force a teenager to do anything I've discovered.

Ironing is one of my most hated household tasks....I have three white school shirts sitting on my bed looking accusingly at me at the moment because I am procrastinating about ironing them....hey they aren't needed for another two and a half weeks!......I am extremely careful about hanging clothes out so I do the minimum amount of ironing I can.

what about spray the clothes, then put into the dryer.
all done, no ironing needed.

Yes, my Mum used to have one of those Gert.  They were so fastidious with their ironing back then - clothes sprinkled with water, rolled then ironed. They didn't have sprays to make ironing easier back then - look at the money they saved.

My mother is meticulous with her ironing....it seems to have skipped me....she insists on ironing pillowcases etc....I gave that up after bratboy was born....it didn't fit in with 12 hour workdays and a baby.

Can we ask what you wanted them for?? Make it in TM - or was it the jars you were after? I may be able to help you out if it is just the jars - I still have oodles of them from when miss 5 was a baby - preTM!!!

What about the little containers they sell for transporting/storing baby food in...then your daughter could use them for the baby.  I've still got the ones I bought when mine were babies.  I'm very protective of them and the plastic lid stealing fairy has actually left them alone....they are very handy.
