Kim it's heavy ATM... But usually eases up. If you have a Bunnings or some other hardware store nearby can you get a number of the those cheap paint drop sheets? They'd help protect the floor and also good for covering things being carried through the rain.

They're usually about $1 each or so

I'd better get up and get going!!  So relieved I don't have to be coping with peak hour traffic and this rain this morning!! Have a tradesman coming today but couldn't give me a time... Looks like I'm housebound for a while .... :)

Frozzie,  good luck with the shift.  Rained here most of yesterday.  Just light but steady.  Have the painter here.  Don't want him painting over wet timber.   Made Maddy's veg soup and had visitor who brought Quinces , Apples and mustard pickles.  I gave her Hot X Buns and Apple Jelly. Out for lunch at friends.  He cooks the dessert and she the main.  Always nice.   Love autumn, trees are turning and look beautiful.

Morning all you busy ladies. It sounds like it is all happening Kim.  I think you might have to get used to the rain, doesn't Sydney get a lot these days?

I hope things go well for you Kim and DS enjoys his first day. I hate shifting too. GF I still have a shelf of 'stuff' that I need to throw out. I turned 30+ years collection into a couple of shelves. I gave all the other teachers free rein to take whatever they wanted after I got what I was keeping out. Then the rest went into a large skip bin. Funny how I had thought it important when I was working.     It may have come in handy one day.

It is over 34 here  today. We've had a few over 30 and I thought the hot weather had gone. Feels quite warm.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Morning all  :D :D

Hope the arrival of your stuff goes smoothly today Kim and the rain doesn't affect things too much.

Another grey, cloudy day here - the forecast says it should be sunny this afternoon so I look forward to that.  Most of the snow has gone now thank goodness.

Morning CC. DJ and Katya still wishing for warmer weather for you all.  ;D

Frozzie, hoping you managed to get your things inside without getting too wet.  How did DS go at his new school?

Heard Sydney had a lot of rain this morning.

Hi Cookie - yes . . how I can relate to that!  I hope I can reduce this lot into a couple of shelves - oh how I wish!! ;D ;D  A former colleague decided to take it even one step further - took all of her qualifications, certificates, etc. . . . shredded the lot!  Moved to the country to run a motel and happier than she's ever been.

Glad the sun's making an appearance in the UK!  Hope you recognise it!! ;D ;D

Frozzie - it's now 7:50 pm here . . can't help hoping you're still able to manage an upright position!!!!  You must be exhausted!!!  Hope everything was delivered between the showers and it's all inside now.   Unfortunately, they've forecast more rain for tomorrow. (Did you bring it down from Qld with you??  ;D ;D ;D)  Thinking of you and hoping it's all good from here on in...
