Sorry girls, no photos today. Plenty of talk about recipe books and giving birth though LOL.  We just picked up an odd thing here and there, spent more time at the table talking over lunch.  Everybody well and it was nice to catch up again.

Judy I am glad you all had a lovely lunch. A lovely bunch of ladies.

Judy,  glad you had a nice day.  great to catch up,  and with such a nice group of members.
We have spent a most frustrating day driving around Melb.  I am trying to buy a type of pastry called Brik. It is similar to Philo only better.  Jamie and Karen Martini are using it and I want to use it too.  Anyone used it or know where I can buy it ?

Thanks girls.  Marie ,  I will have a go at most things,  Would love the recipe please.
Judy, we didn't get to Essential Ingredients today.  Will ring tomorrow.
GF., this looks good .  will also follow up.

This wrap is not as flaky as Phyilo,  a bit more like a Chinese spring wrapper.
I shouldn't complain as I met some lovely people and ate some very interesting food.  2 North African boys sold me the most delicious meat pastries with just the right amount of chilli.  I also sampled some Lebanese pastries soaked in honey syrup.  DH consulted the computer ,  and drove all over the northern subs. of Melbourne while i rushed from shop to shop.   ;D

Chookie, sounds like you had quite an adventure today. I hope you find the brik pastry and make something delicious with it.

ES,  sure will. I will tell you all about it.  ;D
The Portuguese tart recipe was 'borrowed' by a TMX consultant and presented as her own,  and won some award for 'her' recipe.   I would much prefer for forum members to use the recipe and enjoy it.
