Morning all.  Judy,  what a great time you had,  and more to come.
Beautiful mild days at the moment. Loving it.  Sorry to hear it is so hot for so long in Perth.

Sorry to hear Perth is so hot it would get to me too. Hally we can't sleep even if the room is slightly warm so have our airconditioner going all the time, fortunately it's evaporative so doesn't cost the earth the run. Beutiful weather in Melbourne but unfortuanately don't get to enjoy it while working all day, have only been in our pool once this season  :-[

Hally do you have some form of cooling in your bedroom? We have ceiling fans in ours and they run all night but certainly make sleeping easier. They are very cheap to run too.

A ceiling fan in the bedroom is the one saviour on these warm Perth nights, although the cat generally hogs the space directly under the fan which usually means DH and I subconsciously move to our respective sides of the bed. Then our cute puss gets to sleep all day too! :)

I would not be without my ceiling fans.  After living in Darwin 40 years ago and having them in the unit there, they are a must now in any house I've lived in since then.

We've installed ceiling fans in all our rooms too, something that helped us in the hot weather of tropical Malaysia. Still needed the AC to cool down the bedrooms first before we could sleep though. But the fans help the cooling for the rest of the night after the AC switches off

We had never had ceiling fans until we moved to this house.  I would never be without them again, they were great when we had that very hot weather. :)
