I'm glad you only needed one glass of muscat Gert. You may need some more today. Take care.
INAID I hope you are taking care.
Robyn, good that you have generators. No need to worry about the power, just fuel it up and start it. Fridges and freezers are ok then.

Good to hear that you are OK so far.  So relieved when I heard that it had been downgraded, but still bad enough.  Thinking of you all.

Rain has slowed a bit. Took a crayfish tail out of freezer. Three others still frozen thank goodness. Might make a pasta dish for lunch. White wine warming though. That is not good. Patio flooded as is the pool but so be it. Very muggy.

Or try the old QLD trick of stashing it in the cool waters of the pool ;D

The temp of the water in the pool is 26 degrees. The ice is melting rapidly but puting a couple  of bottles in the freezer anyway. The outside temp is 29.

The

Things we have to do in a storm  eh?

The neighbourhood is alive with the sound of generators everyone puts out in the FRONT of their houses. Not in the back or in their garages but in the front. Noisy and not nice. Something I can lie without.

Wow a pool temp of 26 is impressive. You must have had a few cooker days and warm nights.

Hope things improve for you soon Gert. Maybe pour a glass or two :)

The lowest I have seen the pool temp is 19. In the winter it is usually about. 22. In the summr up to 32.

It is pelting down now with wind gusts. Lovely lunch of angel hair pasta with a sauce made from the whey of the ricotta I made. Toss in an anchovie or three, a bit of cray fish stock, a chopped crayfish tail and bobs your auntie a lovely lunch  with a nice Riesling.

Over 10,000 without power in the area. Some mobile service out. Planes having fun trying to get in. Lots of go arounds with new approaches .
The guy across the street is an Ergon Energy guy with a huge truck with cherry lift and all sorts of equipment. He is more worried about keeping his generator going than getting out and fixing anything. Ergon says it is too wet to fix anything. Sugar babies I say. LOL! No updates on their web sites . They are a monopoly here so we sit and wait.. Doesn't worry me but it might some. Trees blowing down all over the place.

On the ABC local radio people are calling in telling what they are doing.  Birds are riding the thermals hundreds of them . Very funny.

ITA is near obbie at  the moment .

Certainly an experience all round. Would hate the noisy generators but love the pool temp, I only swim when the water is warm. Turned our heater off a couple of weeks ago now wishing I hadn't as it is hot and muggy.
Hopefully all be back to normal quickly for you all.  So glad it toned down.

Glad to hear that the storm was not too bad and you are all ok.
I think Robyn you must have the same bug as me. Now in week 3 am and now streaming & sneezing, on AB for chest, huge swollen glands, headache etc. Need to be better and fast.  Have looked at lambs and gone back to bed. Such a bore. Thankfully DH is here today.
