Very good news your DH is home Robyn.

A morning and afternoon at home before we take GS home to London, We spent most of that time in the garden. GS lost one of his front milk teeth whilst here. It’s now safely put away to show his Mum and Dad tonight.

Good morning everyone.  Another cold day, with rain and wind later.  Mush the same as Chookie.

Good news your DH is home and recovering Obbie.

I smiled when Cookie asked this.
A couple of years ago, the tooth fairy called on one of our GC.  They usually get $5.  Tooth fairy made a big mistake and put a $50 not under the pillow.

Crumbs, there's inflation for you (and an extremely generous tooth fairy!) ... we were lucky to get sixpence!

I gather the going rate for the Tooth Fairy is about £2 for each tooth.  ;D

It was very windy last night.  DS rang to see we were alright.  There were trees blown over in properties all around us. We were ok. We have a lot of Cypress hedges so I think this helped.
Cookie, you wouldn’t have like it. More wind today but no rain.
CC, the going rate for the tooth fairy in England is about the same as Australia, when you consider the exchange rate.

Gosh, imagine putting $50 out from the tooth fairy, this would be hard to follow up.

Stay safe in the wind folks, we had it bad here for about 48 hours. Semi sunny today but it’s supposed to pour again tomorrow. I believe we have had our July average rainfall already.

Morning all.
More rain and cold today. Could do some house work but will probably watch Le Tour.  They are near Carcassonne where we have visited. Love the scenery.
The local post office people gave me some Cumquats and I made Marmalade. I gave them back 1/2 of the made jam. We had a large Cumquat tree at Cherokee and I do miss it.
There is an NBN scam going on.   If you have NBN you may be rung to say you are going to have trouble with your NBN.  They say if you don’t do as they say, you will lose your NBN.  Hang up.

Funny you have just mentioned the NBN Chookie.  We have just had the guys in to discuss connection points, so we must be nearly on the NBN ... for what it is worth.

Now we have to find new phones and a technician to do the installation of the phones and linking up all our ancilliary items to the NBN as well.  I could do without all that extra research work at the moment!

Just had the architect in.  The documentation for our extension / renovation has just gone out to tender - finally - exciting and scary!!

Neck deep in preparing all our EOFY work for our accountant to come in on Friday so that he can get our financials together so that we can apply for a mortgage ... and so it goes on.
