Today it's hot again. Tomorrow will be another hot day then our weather will “get back to normal” ie lower temperatures, rain and wind LOL.
Another early walk with Chance.Extremely quiet on our route, no people or traffic around.

CC, glad you can see the end to the very hot weather.
We are in for a wet week. Hope to get a few jobs done inside.

Good morning everyone.  A cold windy day here, rain and hail later in the day.

We play your team next week cookie, I’ll be there.
Some very close finishes this week, it makes for a good game especially if your team wins which mine didn’t.

I feel sorry for Port Judy, they should have won. I don't think it was a goal!
My team are hanging their heads in shame. I found the last half of our match very disturbing. I detest violence of any sort at footy and this really stirred me up. Even the vindictiveness that the rest of the game was played in.

We never get to see your games here unless they’re playing one of the SA teams cookie but hits like that certainly make the news.  I watch both football programmes on Monday nights and this will be the No 1 topic on their disussion list I would think.  I can understand your disappointment.

I agree with you, Cookie, regarding the amount of violence in sport these days.  Where in the rule books does it say it's OK to punch or dangerously tackle an opponent, or give them a facial (I believe this is defined as attempting to gouge the eyes of someone in the other team)?  Younger players look at what their "heroes" do on, and sometimes off, the field and think they can get away with the same as well ... witness the injuries recently received by junior players on the rugby field in the past week or so.  A slap on the hand by the tribunal makes no difference whatsoever, the whole sport needs a review.  I know it is called a contact sport - but there are appropriate and inappropriate types of contact.

Chookie, at least the weeds and ducks are loving this wet weather even if we are not.
