Another cold day. No rain.
Enjoyed the film, Ladies in Black.  Felt it captured the feel of this time.  That is , what I experienced as an 18 year old.  Good light entertainment but also looked at the role woman and immigrants played in Australian society at this time.
KAtie, I think your sister might enjoy it.

Loved the movie too Chookie. Exactly like David Jones when I first arrived in Sydney in 1965. Seemed like a simple movie but there was a lot in it regarding the change in social mores at the time especially the change in dining. I remember Repins was quite sophisticated then. Look at the coffee shops now eh?

Gert,  glad you also enjoyed the film.  I loved Georges. Especially the 2 Gay window dressers who were really rather special. Of course, as an 18 year old, I thought they were just artistic. Georges  also had a Coffee shop where you could have a Crayfish sandwich.  Shopped there until it closed.  DJ ‘s in Melbourne never had the same feel, although I shop there now.

I don’t think it’s a special occasion girls, there are some good movies on at the moment and now the weather is breaking it’s the time to get out and about again.

Hi Everyone, we saw Ladies in Black last weekend and enjoyed it.  Made you realise just how much the times have changed since the 1950’s.  You will enjoy it Judy!

Hi friends.
A sunny but it’s cold. I had to avoid the horses this morning so we went a different way.
I’ll lookout for the film you girls have seen and enjoyed.

An overcast start to the day here, it has been for the last couple of days, but then it clears later in the day. I believe we are in for some rain over the weekend.
