Great idea Margaret.  I sometimes do that when I post a lottery ticket, I copy the ticket and hold the original here as I'm always afraid someone will highjack the birthday card thinking there will be money in it.  People know I will not leave the country if the ticket is a major winner  ;D

I like that MAB a good old fashioned IOU like we used to do when we were kids. We used to make them and give them as gifts  of say I will do your ironing for one week or  IOU 5 sodas from the ice cream parlour. Sort of an adult version of a gift to be collected when they are ready.

Well, finally back after losing power about midnight Saturday. Came back on about midnight Sunday night. Temp hit 46 here yesterday so it was just a wee bit hot. We had the gennie going to keep the fridges and freezers going and the beer cold. But we melted.
Slept outside last night as it was still 36 in the house at 9pm. Gross!

Not complaining though  - we still have a house. Many up in Parkerville - 46 homes now - have lost everything.

Hope it is all under control soon and somehow we can help.

So true Nikkit.

I was given a voucher at a spa when I retired. I forgot about it and it expired. I rang them and explained and they were only too pleased to honour it. I was thrilled as it is not something I do regularly.

I should do a bit of a de clutter but then I decide I need things still. Clothes I have no problem with.

So sad for those who have lost their homes in WA. Hope the situation improves quickly.

Today I spent some time watching the girls explore the backyard and making sure the dog did not round them up or eat them up :-))
So excited to have chooks  :) :) :)

DD named them after the Spice girls CC - Ginger, Sporty, Posh and Scary LOL. DD (who is a "ginger ninja") is impressed that Ginger has claimed the boss chook title :D.

I'm guessing I'll have to wait a little while before they start laying Yvette. Hopefully not too long though. ;D

I love them, and they have a Posh house too. Is it a kit home?
