Well we go from dentists to funerals. Noice!

My dentist must have been related to yours Gert. Old sod was always half shickered and I soon learnt that a needle was not a good idea as you never really knew where he'd put it and then which teeth he'd work on! So my fear of dentists still stands strong and I only go when I really have to.

Gert you can do my funeral, although after my Grandma's I think I'll write my own eulogy as she did and it was funny, we laughed a lot. It would be good to have some different music other than the old soppy stuff about how lovely your granny was and its so sad now she's dead.  :-)) As good as my Grandma's funeral was, the music was atrocious.

I love reading all these stories. I went to a friends Dad's funeral a few years ago. I laughed so much I was nearly sick. It was truly beautiful. His coffin was taken round the small town on the back of a little Suzuki ute- for a last look round town. The coffin was held down by chains.
As his coffin was lowered they played "Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye ". A beautiful funeral.

At Mum's DD chose Robbie Williams song Nan or whatever it is called. Lovely words.

Today is shopping day for me. I have just returned from having my eyebrows waxed. I can't see to do it properly anymore.  ;D ;D ;D

Guess I'm lucky Cookie, I plucked my eyebrows when I was 13 and they've never grown since  ;D

I've never had armpit hair but do have arm & legs that need to be waxed so guess you can't win them all  ;)

Must be a week for dentists. I went yesterday, because I had an  piece of filling that had cracked off. What I thought would be a quick repair job turned into a full blown appointment. The dentist pointed out that it was an old filling and he doesn't like to patch as it won 't last, so he drilled out the old filling (a biggie) and replaced it with a new one.
I think it was a piece of Thermie Nougat that was the culprit. >:(

Not overly musical in this family (although my Grandma could toot a tune all the way up her hallway that rivalled the whole brass band!) I did play the sax for a while and Miss 12 does play a clarinet.

I got married in our back yard on the farm where I grew up to a cacophony of turkeys, roosters, canaries, chooks, Clyde the Crow and budgies. The musicians we hired had to up the anti there for a while to make themselves heard over all the birds!

I'm back on board. Got my giggle on again yesterday after another visit to the doctor on Monday.

A dear friend arranged her own funeral last year. Purple balloons released from the hearse, a slide show of photos of people that she loved and a chorus to sing along as the hearse drove away ('wish me luck...'). It was when I saw the balloons that I realized we were at her funeral.

While we are morbid. The hospital room that I was in on Friday was the room that I last saw my mother in. Strangely comforting to be so close to her.

And while I'm making morbid confessions... I'm a dentist. Shhh don't tell.

Oh but the real reason I popped into this post. I'm going to be an Aunty! And I can't tell anyone because I want Ben to find out first hand. Yay!

I've got great plans for the cot and cradle under my spare bed!

Thermesa imagine being a dentist. I always assure my dentist that it is not her I dislike ( I have a lady dentist) but what has to be done to my teeth. That's when I remind her what a woose I was.

I do hope you are feeling much better.
