Denise it sounds lovely. Double brick is so silly here with out hear heat. Once it heats up it takes several days to cool. When we did our last bush stint we had a brick veneer house and it cooled over night. Just lovely. When we built we wanted to do that but the shire was a pain in the neck.  We eventually chickened out and did double brick. They passed the plans immediately for double brick, yet with brick veneer they put all sorts of things in our way.

I can't wait to see some photos.

I think we are in the right location Cookie, there are still lots of holiday homes in Falcon.
I have been doing my  accounts today.  A huge prblem when i  have my cooking mojo back is my lack of desire to sit in front of the computer.  I have been doing only the bare necessity and oh my it certainly was a mess.

Fantastic Robyn and I wish you and Jim good luck.i don't see how you can fail as weddings are big and everyone lies special cars on the big day.
Had a scary day today here as we decided to do the Queenstown hill walk which starts about 500 metres from the house. I forgot that I have probems with altitude and so started with my usual full on power walk mode. Within 5 minutes on a very steep incline I was short of breath and light headed and had to stop the walk. Same thing happened to me on the Jungfrau in Switzerland. Came home and rested and was  ok very quickly but I was really stressed at the time as I couldn't breathe and my chest felt tight. No more mountain walks for me. Lesson learnt. DH was fine and yet he is a very shallow breather and prone to asthma.

I get exercise induced asthma MF, which sounds similar. I  get a puffer from the chemist over the counter and it will begin to work within about 5 mins. If I don't have the puffer it can take a lot longer (sometimes about an hour before I'm normal) depending on how out of breath I am. Its a horrible feeling.

CP maybe that's what it was but not sure as I power walk most days with no adverse effects. The only time I felt this way was at high altitude in Switzerland 5 years ago. Altitude here is not so high but who knows. I started the uphill ascent very fast and had to stop after 5 minutes as I could barely breathe. Will get an asthma puffer when I go home but thanks for your advice and I won't be power walking up a mountain again while here . Was very scary

Looks great Robyn. Picked up a typo in your blog where you talk about make share our cars. Doesn't make sense. Sorry used to be a proof reader in a previous life. Often my posts on here aren't grammatically correct! Couldn't view the photos as my phone said browser not supported. And under why us? Maybe we love our old Holdens instead.

Bedlam house building is very exciting!

MF take care!

Thanks everyone, i am feeling excited and optimistic that it will happen this time. Although it isnt on the ocean there is a bush reserve in front so no houses.  Its not all polished and tidy which we love. Fingers crossed.
