Your DH is so talented cookie.  :D
Denise we have had a lovely relaxing weekend here after our friends left. Recharged the batteries and back to normal as from tomorrow. A heavy week with lots of babysitting but I miss the kids and can't wait to see them all.
Are you a Fergie of Scottish descent Itsnotartitsdinner?
I am a Fergie since marriage but my fathers middle name was Ferguson too.

Yes we have a tartan. I married into it :)

Arrived home and cloudy here today. Must be cloudy all over the country I think!!!
Had to circle Perth airport for about 45 minutes as our landing had to be aborted as a plane had caught fire just after take off. I believe the fire was from one of the engines. We were very close to touching down when suddenly we went backup again. That's the third time this has happened to us. I think it was a small plane going to Barrow island but not 100% sure. I heard nobody was injured and the plane was able to land.

a bit of excitement MF, glad you were in the other plane.
I bought a Maxwell Williams Cashmere dinner set in November, some of the pieces have crazed badly.  I took them back today thinking I must have got a bad batch. They wouldnt exchange it and said the rep needs to look at it, but mentioned how a lot of the manufacturers were unhappy with one of the dshwashing tablets.  Just happens to be the one I always buy, Finish!

Glad you are back safely MF.

That's bad luck Bedlam, I'm sure that they would be required to give you a refund.

Mich, I just wanted them replaced. I bought enough for 10 settings.  They say they are dishwasher safe.  I might change my detergent though.

Whoa....drama. MF! Glad you're safe xx

Denise, I use Finish as well :( But I don't have expensive plates so should be ok for us. But that is super annoying that they won't replace for you. I'd be fuming mad 😤

Bedlam, if they say they are dishwasher safe, then Maxwell Williams are required to give you a refund.

You must be very disappointed that your new china has started to craze Denise.Like you, if it says it's dishwasher proof I just shoved it in the dishwasher. :-\

Cookie's DH is indeed very talented.
I was in Perth to see the construction of the first tear drop caravan - a work of art.
A craftsman as my late DH (a carpenter) would say.  :D
