I love hearing about your family days ladies. All good stuff.  ;D
I went on a parish walk for Rogation Sunday ( blessing the crops) and had a hog roast after to raise money for church.
It made a change.
Had a very quiet w/e, good thing.
Start unpacking tomorrow.

My two munchkins are overseas -one in Holland, the other in Canada but had lovely phone calls!! :D

Just have to share this. I saw a message from the mum of a gorgeous young fellow I had the absolute pleasure to have in my class not all that long ago  . . .
. . . . . .***in a chef's hat making my breakfast in bed, came and asked, 'Now mum, would you like your banana clean, with dots all over it or all black? We have three types."
God bless him for his love and reminder to go shopping.
I am so blessed to have my beautiful family.
:D

Just makes your heart melt . . !! :D :D

Beautiful GF  :D

For Mother's Day I was presented with an origami box made by DS and filled with little love notes from him. :D

Then I was told to stay in bed until breakfast was ready.....was quite a long wait!  But worth it for my pancakes with bacon and banana.

We've been making a big effort to have early nights for the kids (and grown ups), so we missed the dinner out that SIL was organising for MIL.  Did have MIL round for afternoon tea though.  I also had a big chat in the evening to my mum.

Hoping that all our anti-social behaviour pays off and the kids' moods improve (especially DS!!)  We backed out of things for Friday night, Saturday and Sunday this weekend, and I think we are not going to get much use from our basketball season passes for now - the fallout is just too big.

I hope it pays off for you Jo.

Astarra what a lovely, loving family.

This morning I am ironing in between peaking at the forum. Each time I finish a small pile I peak at the forum. DH has gone to sit with his brother for a while.

They sound like my kind of cookies DJ.

Thanks for all the good wishes. We really appreciate them. :-* :-* :-*
BIL is still in ICU but hopefully coming out today. They think his septicaemia is caused by a staph infection, not sure yet if it is MRSA or not. It is hard as his partner is an absolute  darling but by the time we get news it can be a bit confused and muddled. However as long as he improves. It has really shaken DH up, more so than when his brother had heart attacks and lost toes. He is fussing round and I can't even sneeze without him being concerned. Its rather nice and I know it will stop soon. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Good to hear of the improvement Cookie. When it's so close to home, these things do tend to unnerve us. It's lovely that DH is being over protective of you - lap it up.  :D Life is precious.

I agree with Michele Cookie, take it whilst it's there  ;D  I hope DBIL continues to improve.

This morning I met 6 ladies from my local Probus Club in a coffee shop, something they do once a month.  I recently decided to join Probus and today was nice to be able to meet a few of the ladies in the lead up to their 26th birthday meeting on Friday (my first meeting).  It will be a special day with visitors & some local government dignitaries invited and it will be followed by a lunch provided by the ladies.  One of the ladies, a newbie like me, has just moved into Mum's retirement village.
