What a gorgeous boy Nikkit
Lovely pic Bedlam
Great food BZB, and Happy Birthday Tim!
This weekend is supposed to be a gardening weekend but have been glued to the sofa in front of the fire
reading the 7th Outlander book
waiting for the sun to warm and dry the garden a bit
Someone mentioned the Outlander series on here (thank you
) and I bought all 7 books on a whim when DH ordered his last lot of goodies online. Have spend every spare minute since devouring these books.
Also trying to catch up with everything here

Great photo Denise, I'd love a cow statue in my back yard - I'm a cow person.
Beautiful cake BZB and I'm so happy Tim had a lovely birthday - bet they went home and told their family about the great food
Happy birthday Tim.

I can't imagine anything other than well fed at your house BZB. Wonderful cake, you are obviously a perfectionist. Happy birthday Tim.

Happy Birthday Tim. BZB you will have them queuing up for your lovely food.
Denise I love Cowaramup. We were down there a few weeks ago. Will be heading down that way later this week or early next week for the National Meet, to do a bit of work.
We had a car run today. It was freezing when we left home at 8am. I had so many clothes on. A scarf, beanie and gloves. We had a lovely drive, morning tea in a beautiful park and ended up at the Army Museum in Fremantle where we had a tour. It was very interesting.

You all had a lovely weekend.
Great photo Bedlam. Chilli is just gorgeous. A very happy birthday to Tim, I'm glad he had a good day with his mates.
The car run sounds great. Cookie took me to Fremantle when I was in WA - very pretty part of Australia.
I had a very boring Sunday - had a spring clean of the storage shelves in the shed and our wardrobe. Felt good afterwards and I have an extremely full boot load of things to take to The Salvo's today.

Iive been out with DIL to buy a bulk lot of meat fro the freezer. Now to find where to put it.
Just a quick ? about the vacuum sealers. I bought a Sunbeam one some time ago and it only works when it feels like it, does anyone else have a problem with them.

Funnily enough Mab my Sunbeam would not seal a container this morning. The container was one I purchased when I first bought the sealer. Chookie mentioned that they don't seal very well if there is any moisture in the top of the bag and I have noticed that when a bag has not sealed there has been moisture where I have tried to seal it.

I find that I occasionally need to wipe the inside of the bag before sealing to remove moisture. It seems to catch even when you put the meat in if you aren't careful. We have had our Sunbeam for several years.

I have an Ezi Vac not sunbeam, but I always make sure to turn the top of the bag down before filling which ensures no liquid or food residue is on the section where I'm going to seal. I think there are quite a few other tips in the vacuum sealer thread.
