So sorry to hear your news, Mich.  It is so nice that he had a good life, though.  Condolences to you both.

Sadly, we are in a similar situation - the 30 year old son of a friend passed away from a blood clot so we are going over on Monday - The airlines are a real rip off, Melbourne, Wellington, Melbourne return is near enough $1,900.00!  Probably would have been cheaper had I scoured the internet, but no time for that.  I really resent the charges, but there is little choice.

thankyou all for the kind wishes.

Sorry to hear that news Marina - deepest sympathy.

DH only got a one way ticket to Christchurch as he doesn't know when he is coming back and the fares are so expensive at the moment. Probably due to school holidays and ski season.

Sorry to here the sad news Marina and Michele. You are probably right Marina, I think this time it's school holidays on both sides of the ditch at the same time so extra bad/busy.
Bring warm clothes! x

Found a great tapas bar in Perth. Andaloz in Howard Strret, Perth. Lunchtime great tapas and reasonably priced. Best tapas I have had for a long time, thoroughly recomend the food. Evenings are very busy,  lunchtime was very relaxed.
