I worked this morning and then got a distress call from a dear girl friend.  Her DH is airforce and they have been transferred from Newcastle to Brisbane. They have a pretty good deal really. The Forces pack up everything bar personal effects, food and cosmetics/hand lotions. Her DH has been deployed until 4 days before they move. So this afternoon we packed up her wardrobe, linen press and went through the pantry ( I have a lot of oils and vinegar as a result).  She is struggling as her 29yr old son took his life at the begining of the year, leaving behind a wife,  5yr old son and 3yr old twins.
She was over whelmed and I will go back tomorrow to help out again. It's not so much the packing but having someone else there.

She certainly needs a good friend like you at the moment Michele.  Will she be leaving her DIL and grand-children back in Newcastle?

Mich your poor friend. She has had so much to contend with. It is sweet of you to give her a hand.

No, her son was in the Navy in Perth when this all happened. He had a military funeral there and his wife and children have since moved to the ACT to be near her parents. What is great is that her daughter lives in Brisbane with her DH and is expecting in January. My friend has a transfer within our hospital system too.

DH has just arrived home ( 7.45pm) from filming with the Model A. He said they loved the car and the lass that was to drive it managed well. Here are a couple of the photos.

Glad it went well cookie. Is that it or are there more scenes for the car?

Oh golly. They are upside down. Sorry. I don't know what happened.

That is the end of filming completely.  The documentary is called First Flight.

If you tap on the photos they will correct themselves.

We went down to Bunbury today to a beach event. Gosh it was hot in the sun, even with my hat and sunscreen.  I saw some rellies I hadn't seen for a bit, but was very close to them growing up.
It wasn't too bad a day, thank goodness for air conditioning in red terrors.

I had the grandkids for 4.5 hours today.  They helped me do a couple of outside jobs, ate everything I served up, gave me their Christmas wish lists and had their usual sibling arguments.  I survived but could have done without the arguments.

Great photos Cookie. Hopefully we will get to see the film.
Judy, it sounds like you've had a tiring day. The thing is with kids arguments , most of the time they are over something totally petty, which is even more annoying.

You're not wrong there Katj, ours today was over who was going to sit in which chair.  In the end I got  the timer out and gave them both 5 minutes in each chair LOL.  Musical chairs had a whole new meaning today.
