Me neither, I thought it was just for the weekend.  Do you talk much about sewing troupie, we hardly mention the thermomix on our get togethers LOL.

I hope you've found your glasses Marina, were they on your face or sitting on top of your head when you lost them?

It was for the whole week and I was exhausted when I got home. We caught the red eye on Thursday night and I couldn't sleep I was so squashed up so didn't get to sleep until the next night. We sure did lots of talking but I think most of the ladies did patchwork  first and dressmaking second. It was nice being  driven around for the whole week by a wonderful bus driver and taken to all these great places.

I too leave my glasses all over the place; yesterday it was in the toilet on the plane but did get them back. Looking forward to doing some cooking now. One girl on the trip had a thermie.

Welcome back Troupie. Your week sounds wonderful.
Marina I do hope you have found your glasses. MIL had hers removed for an X-Ray in the hospital the other day. Naturally she forgot to ask for them and no one could find them. DH went to the hospital yesterday to lost propery and of course they didn't have them. Infuriating as she will need another pair made for her.

Glasses are my biggest problem; I lost a pair in the shops and of course no one has seen them and then someone picked them up while I was filling out a form in the post office and again had to buy a new pair. The trouble is when they take my glasses they will be no good to anyone because of my eyes; expensive loss of course.

Yesterday made this bread . It had pine nuts added.  Didn't like it so sliced it thinly and crisped in oven.  It made very nice crackers to have with dips.  Needs a strong flavoured dip as the crackers have quite a lot of ' character'

Its so lovely to see your photos Chookie. I was the only one in the family who liked Tenina's Black Rice Rolls, so I eventually did the same. They made lovely crackers as they didn't have heaps of flavour.

A good save Chookie.

Not a lot today apart from encouraging DH to practice his oath for the Aussie citizenship ceremony on Wednesday.

It sounds as though you had a great time away Troupie.  I haven't been on one of those sewing/patchwork getaways for a long time, we always had a lots of fun and laughter and even managed to do some sewing :D :D.

Our children had the day off school today, it's report writing day and then tomorrow is the Melbourne Cup. So we all stuffed around this morning and eventually got up. Then we went out and bought some camping gear for my daughter who's having a school sleepover this week, and needed a sleeping bag. We go away in a camper trailer, but we didn't have sleeping bags. Then we went to the doctor as my husband's foot is inexplicably sore. I went across the road to sort out prescriptions and got a phone call inviting me to a job interview!

We had visitors for lunch but because I can now post photos they are lucky they got lunch.  I kept nicking off to take photos and post.
The good thing is I got them to taste test some bread rolls I made which I thought looked awful as they didn't rise much. They loved them and went home with a bag full. Now I will have to post the recipe.  This is a photo I took just for the hell of it.
